The agriturismo
BioMasseria Santa Lucia has 8 comfortable and well-kept rooms.
We pay the utmost attention to careful cleaning and sanitization, scrupulously following the protocols to ensure maximum safety.
A small number of guests ensures a natural maintenance of the distance between people and,
ensures a peaceful and relaxing environment.
The wide open and green spaces, together with a swimming pool located in a pleasant olive grove are the
right recipe for a comfortable holiday.
The accommodation
The farm is located in the furthest edge of Salento, a few kilometers from the beautiful sea and the panoramic Capo di Leuca, in an area covered with olive trees, with ancient stone walls and quaint rural houses.
The fortified farm consists of a spacious open court where in good season it is possible to have breakfast, of a tall tower where the owners' house and the reception office are, of two small cozy by two small rooms used as breakfast rooms and by a large reading room with tall star vaults (typical in this region).
Two double rooms for guests (all with private bathrooms and air conditioning ) are located near the court and look over a fresh lawn, while four other bedrooms and the master bedroom suite is at the back of the court, shaded by a pergola overlooking a scented herbs garden.
All rooms have their own relaxing outdoor space with a table and chairs.
Outside the walls , with a nice walk, you can visit the park , the orchard , and the small wood where you can relax in the cool hammocks and deck chairs. Climbing the hill of Montesardo , without leaving the farm, you can visit the ancient oil mill located in a cave.
Activities and surrounding
The Ionian coast between Santa Maria di Leuca and Otranto (Regional Natural Parc since 2006) is spectacular for its breathtaking views, for the very nice towns of Novaglie, a little fishermen town with an emerald green sea, Castro an old town situated on a high cliff, Santa Cesarea Terme with many examples of eclectic architecture (more examples can be found in Santa Maria di Leuca), Porto Badisco which is thought to be the place where the epic Enea disembarked, and Cape Otranto, the more oriental point o Italy.
Otranto is important for its historical centre, for the castle and for the Cathedral, like a jewel box containing the famous tree of life mosaic.
Be sure to visit the sea caves along the coast around Santa Maria di Leuca and Zinzulusa Cave near Castro Marina.
If you prefer to relax we recommend the white Ionian beaches of Pescoluse, Torre Vado and Torre San Giovanni.
Further up to the North there is the picturesque fishermen town of Gallipoli, than Santa Maria al Bagno, Santa Caterina, up till the Natural Parc of Porto Selvaggio.
Very important to visit are Lecce for its Barocco architecture and the Church of Santa Caterina in Galatina, for the colorful frescos. The Sistema Museale in Ugento will tell you about the ancient Messapi civilization that populated Salento.
