The agriturismo

Surrounded by a garden of around 3 hectares, the farm is located at the top of a characteristic “serra salentina”, a Salento hill, around 110 metres above sea level, offering views which stretch right to the sea, and 2 km from Marina Serra, a beautiful seaside resort on the Adriatic coast. 

The accommodation

The agriturismo offers 3 separate accommodation units known as “Pajare”, with tuffaceous rock barrel vaults and calcareous rock exterior walls, put together using the traditional technique of “dry stone walling”. Each dwelling is equipped with Wi-Fi and looks onto a pergola with a barbecue. The farm's own extra virgin olive oil is also available to purchase.

 

Activities and surrounding

In October and November, guests can enjoy guided tours to see the olive harvesting. There are also bicycles, mopeds, cars and boats to hire.

The area is adjacent to the Costa Otranto-Santa Maria di Leuca e Bosco di Tricase Regional Nature Park, perfect for enjoying the green Salento countryside between dry stone walls, calcareous rocks and red clay soil.

Marina Serra, a beautiful seaside resort on the Adriatic coast, is just 2 km away, offering a coastline peppered with cliffs, caves, natural pools, ravines and rock pools to explore, and a crystal-clear sea filled with freshwater springs.

 
All around there are tourist cycle trails crossing countryside cultivated with olive groves and the spectacular stretch of coastline which looks out over the Adriatic sea, including the Torre Nasparo di Tiggiano belvedere, from which you can admire approximately 30 km of coast right along to Otranto.
