The agriturismo
A typical Salento farmhouse, is located in a dominant position on the Serra di Montevergine , which, like a real natural rocky terrace, faces eastward toward Otranto and westward toward Gallipoli with an evocative panorama of olive groves and villages.
The accommodation
Surrounded by olive trees and surrounded by pine forests and typical Mediterranean scrub with usable paths in an area owned for about 20 hectares, it is a historical-cultural synthesis of the Salento landscape and offers countless cues for those who love nature and art.
The two apartments consist of independent kitchen, private bathroom and bedroom, equipped with heating, air conditioning and every comfort. Large outdoor spaces with the old farmyard and a capable natural stone barbecue . Amenities include a wireless Internet connection.
Activities and surrounding
At 50 m you can reach the cave of Spernozzata (a Byzantine laura dating back to the period of iconoclasm), pajari and dry stone walls, from the admirable construction technique, the menhirs, which testify to human presence since the Neolithic and, at the top of the hill, at 500 m, the sanctuary of Monte Vergine that stimulates toward a journey, in time and space, in the need for sacredness of man.
From the property it is possible to easily reach important tourist and cultural places of interest on the Adriatic (5 minutes by car) and Ionian (half an hour away) coasts, including Otranto, Gallipoli and Lecce itself.
Festivals, patronal festivals and fairs enrich the evenings of the many neighboring villages throughout the year.
