In the farm guests can learn to taste the oil and learn about the techniques of organic regenerative agriculture that are adopted in our fields. The farm is located 3.5 km from the sandy beaches of Riva di Ugento. From the farm you can easily reach the towns of Otranto, Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca. Salento is a land rich in ancient traditions of craftsmanship, genuine cuisine, music and dancing. A land that still preserves great natural treasures: the wetlands, the coasts, which are very different from the Adriatic and Ionian ones, the landscapes of the Greenhouses, the karst phenomena, and one of the most important flora in Italy. For lovers of art and history there are many testimonies of the long and troubled history of Salento: castles (Corigliano, Copertino, Lecce), rock churches and early Christian crypts, Baroque churches (Lecce, Galatina, Gallipoli), rural architecture, dolmens and menhirs, numerous archaeological sites (Ugento, Patù, Roca Vecchia, Porto Badisco, Muro Leccese), and museums (Ugento, Lecce and Maglie). It is possible to make boat trips to visit the caves of Santa Maria di Leuca, diving, horseback riding among the olive trees and the Mediterranean. Finally, there are many religious festivals that take place in Salento usually accompanied by exhibitions of handicrafts, tastings of typical dishes, music and folk dances. Among the many music festivals the most popular are the Night of Taranta, which takes place in August in Melpignano, and the dance of swords in Torrepaduli, on the occasion of the feast of San Rocco. Among the events is 'Il mercatino del gusto' in Maglie, among courtyards, squares and gardens, a wonderful journey through the Apulian food and wine heritage.

Hi, I am Yvonne and I am 60 years old.
Here I am with my husband, Antonio
I have been managing Masseria Gianferrante a 3 km dal mare since 2004 with my husband.
As well as we welcome the guests, we take care of the crops, we run the courses.
It was a desire to to live in nature which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Masseria Gianferrante a 3 km dal mare is the location.
