The agriturismo

Located at the heart of Salentinian Greece, equidistant from the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Coast, the agriturismo is part of an educational farm and offers a comfortable rural setting surrounded by countryside, with wide green space and the “Parco della Pietra” outdoor stone museum.

The accommodation

The rustic and cosy guest apartments were built inside the former stables, using typical Lecce stone. All apartments have their own veranda with outdoor furniture and lounger, and most apartments also include kitchenettes and barbecues.

 

The Cucina del Massaro, an inviting building with star vaulted ceilings and a large open fireplace, hosts regular Salentianian dinners, musical evenings and tasting. Breakfast is also served here or under the portico.

Activities and surrounding

On the farm, guests can get involved in agricultural activities and help take care of the animals: milk the goats, help make cheese, take a tour of the vegetable garden and orchard, or pick fresh vegetables. Or why not visit the Parco delle Pietre, an outdoor stone museum, take part in a cookery class, or take a tambourine or pizzica dance lesson (upon request)? Sports fans can enjoy ping pong and table football.

The agriturismo also offers musical evenings with pizzica dancing and traditional Salento music, and the Grikanti-Festival featuring the music of Salentinian Greece and tasting of typical produce, which takes place in the middle of June.

The educational activities with the farm’s horses and donkeys are not to be missed - learn how to understand, interact and work with horses on the ground and in the saddle. Gentle horse riding is available for children aged 7 and up. These activities are very limited in the high summer season. Please contact us before if horse activities are very important to you to see what is possible.
