The agriturismo

The pleasant atmosphere of the farmhouse, the peace and quiet of the surroundings, the lush green olive trees and prickly pear plants, the blue sky and the breeze from the crystal clear sea just a few km away together form the setting for this country hotel, just 2 km from Porto Cesareo, one of the pearls of the Ionian Sea, famous for its long sandy beaches and clear waters.

The accommodation

The bedrooms (double/twin, two-family rooms, triple and quadruple), tastefully furnished by local artisans, have super king-size beds, plenty of light and space, bathroom with electric skylight and a large shower area in grey stone and glass, private entrance and large covered veranda: here guests can relax, enjoy the silence of the countryside, sample a glass of wine or the owner’s homemade “mirto” liqueur. Services include Wi-Fi, car park and bicycles.

 

Breakfast is served on the large outdoor patio and includes jams, cakes, honey produced by local beekeepers, homemade biscuits. Dinner on request, with classic Salento recipes such as "ciciri e tria" (pasta and chickpeas), stewed octopus, "quataru" (fish soup), orecchiette pasta and turnip greens, burrata cheese, broad beans and chicory, “frise” dried bread etc. prepared using the farm’s own or local produce and fresh fish from Porto Cesareo.

 

For children, the playground is always open as is the vegetable garden for an intense multisensory experience.
