Agriturismo Torre Cangiani

Torre Cangiani agritourism Massa Lubrense. The farmhouse is 5km far from Sorrento. Among the remains of acient Roman villas, immersed in one of the most beautifull part of the Tirrenic coast, Torre Cangiani is the symbol of the continuing presence of this family. It gives the guests the opportunity to rivive the past, with the added advantage of many cultural and recreational pursuit.

A Saracen Tower, built during the XVI century, to ward off the raids of Turkish pirates, Torre Cangiani overlooks a country house with a small internal courtyard. A lemon grove and plantation of acient olive trees on the steep terraced hillside surraund the whole building.

It is teh ideal starting point for excursion on foot to the Nature Reserve of Punta Campanella.

Currently our agriturismo has four rooms and an independent apartment

“Tower”: Situated on first floor of the Tower, access is by way of main entrance. From the window you enjoy a splendid view of the Bay of Naples. From the room, one can go into the inside courtyard where one can relax, read or sip a good glass of wine in the shade of a secular oleander tree. Double room with bathroom and shower, air conditioning, independent heating, fridge, electric kettle for the tea, adjustable electric blanket, possibility of an additional single bed.

“Guesthouse”: Situated in a quiet little corner, it has a private garden with grass and solarium, for a very romantinc and relaxing stay. The view is splendid, you can see Capri, Ischia, Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Room with double bed and possibility of an extra single bed, bathroom with shower, air conditioning, independent heating, fridge, adjustable electric blanket, safe.

"Library": This is the largest room in the farmhouse, about 60 square meters. A double room with kitchenette, bathroom and shower, independent heating, air conditioning, adjustable electric blanket and the possibility of an additional single bed. The uniqueness of this room is given by a living room with character, furnished with antique furniture: a well-stocked library, a piano and a comfortable sofa with two armchairs.

“Courtyard": The bedroom overlooks the small internal courtyard of the tower, when you can sit in the shade of a centuries-old oleander and a splendid bougainvillea. The room, with a characteristic cross-vaulted ceiling, was converted from the oil mill where the farm’s olives were pressed. All the items of furniture are antique and quite special. This room does not have a view, but tranquility and rest are guaranteed. A double room with kitchenette, bathroom and shower, independent heating, air conditioning and adjustable electric blanket.

"Apartment": Self contained apartment, on two floors (100 sqm), consisting of: ground floor: entrance hall living room (possibility of two additional single beds), large kitchen liveable and bathroom with shower and washing machine; first floor: two double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The apartment is part of the main propriety and has at its disposal the yard, the whole garden and the olives and lemons grove.

At Torre Cangiani we personally serve breakfast and dinner to our guests, for an experience of pure relaxation.

Breakfast is characterized by inviting freshly squeezed orange juice, by the familiar flavor of homemade pastry, by the freshness of organic products from our garden, like eggs, lemons, oranges, tomatoes, olive oil, the golden honey made by our little bees, and by the genuineness of a rich selection of homemade jams exclusively made with the fruits of our garden, to be savored on toasted hot bread.

Dinner is exclusively for the guests of our rooms and it is only by reservation in the morning or before arrival, so that we can always offer absolute quality in raw materials.

During the dinner we bring to the table a combination of traditional Italian dishes and regional flavors, using vegetables from our garden and fresh local products of Massa Lubrense and Sorrento.

On the farm, it is possible to follow and participate in the work that takes place in the garden; stroll among centuries-old olive groves and typical lemon trees. On foot it is possible to go down in a few minutes to Marina di Puolo, a small fishing village, where you can eat freshly caught fish.

Our farm is in the heart of the " Protected Marine Reserve Punta Campanella " and a short distance from the most beautiful places in the region: Pompeii, Herculaneum, Positano, Amalfi , Ravello, Capri.

Massa Lubrense is in the province of Naples, Campania, Italy, on the extreme strip of the Sorrento peninsula, between the Bay of Naples and the Bay of Salerno. Most important local distances: Massa Lubrense 1.5 Kms , Sorrento 4 Kms , Positano 20 Kms, Amalfi 25 Kms, Ravello 30 Kms, Pompeii 20 Kms, Herculaneum 30 Kms , Vesuvius 55 Kms , Naples 50 Kms . From Sorrento harbour: Li Galli (Islands of the Mermaids) 27 miles (50 mins), Ischia 22 miles (40 mins ), Procida 22 miles (40 mins), Capri 8 miles (30 mins), Naples 18 miles (40 mins). Possibility of excursions and walks, Natural Park, Punta Campanella, paths and routes all over the area: Punta Campanella Monte San Costanzo Bay of Ieranto Crapolla, Baths of Queen Giovanna. We can arrange boat trips along the coast or guided tours on the nature trails of Massa Lubrense.
