Via Ferrarese, 66, Casumaro 44012 Bondeno (Ferrara)
The 18th century farmhouse, typical of the Po Plain, is surrounded by a large enclosed garden (3000 m2) at the edge of a 29 hectare farm growing cereals, which preserves all the features of a traditional hemp farm: two large retting pools and the typical farmhouse. The retting pools, no longer used, have been taken over by the local flora and fauna, which guests can admire.
In the eighteenth century villa with period furnishings you’ll find the guest rooms with bathrooms (one of which is suitable for disabled guests). As well as use of a dedicated kitchen, guests also have access to the garden - with vegetable patch and barbecue - the small rural museum and the library.
Guests can also enjoy a guided tour of the farm to discover the old buildings and the retting pools.
Cities of art such as di Cento, Ferrara, Stellata, Modena and Bologna are home to interesting local cultural heritage, and the surrounding towns are also the ideal place to discover fine food and wine, festivals and folklore (such as the snail festival in Casumaro).
For nature lovers, within a 17 km radius you’ll find the Panfilia Forest, the right bank of the Po River and the Panaro River, the left bank of the Reno and the “Cavo Napoleonico” canal.
