Nestled in the hills of the upper Val d'Arda (Piacenziano geological area) in an unspoiled place surrounded by woods and overlooking the medieval village of Castell'Arquato (one of Italy's Most Beautiful Villages), stands the La Radice farm, which produces unusual, regional and ancient varieties of organic vegetables, aromatics and edible flowers (OrtoGiardino).
The farm is also the home of the owners, recently reconstructed on an old rustic house.
The farm currently has 4 double rooms (3 of which are equipped for the disabled, 1 with the possibility of adding a child's bed and 1 twin with single beds). An apartment (three-room) with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and sofa bed, suitable for families, will be available in March.
The rooms are all cozy and comfortable, equipped with hot and cold air fan heaters, with wood stove central heating, television, independent bathroom, hair dryer.
The kitchen is open to the public on Sundays for lunch, by reservation, during events. The raw material used is km 0, coming directly from the vegetable garden and local farms.
It is possible to stay overnight with breakfast or half board (dinner). The restaurant room is available by reservation for meetings of up to 20 people.
There is a common relaxation-reading-music area in the facility.
For more athletic guests, it is possible to reach the medieval village of Castell'Arquato on foot, thanks to the CAI A27 trail that starts from the farmhouse woods.
Yoga, shinrin-yoku and horticulture classes or approach to cultivation techniques are organized.
For nature lovers, there are loop trails in the area, one of which starts directly from the farmhouse(CAI A27) and allows you to walk to the medieval village in a few minutes immersed in the woods.
Horseback riding is possible on request.
Nearby are the Provincial Park of Mount Moria and the Castle of the Village of Vigoleno, where the excellent vino santo is produced.
Bordering the province of Parma, the Landi Castle in Bardi (PR) is also of worthy attention.
