The agriturismo Contadino Telamone is located on the lowlands, quite close to the foothills, and near the road to the Adriatic Coast. It offers four rooms with built-in baths. Guests interested in comfort, tranquility, culture, and excellent home-prepared food.
The accommodation
The agriturismo Contadino Telemone is a renovated space inside an historic farmhouse which maintains its traditional architectural typology and elements intact, from the wood-beamed ceilings and roof to the terracotta tiled pavements and original windows framed in wood. Even the wall plaster is original, with all of the imperfections and beauty of a traditional material that has survived up to today.
The furnishings have been selected to represent contemporary quality in Italian design, and combine with the setting to offer the best of both the past and present. The accommodations consist in four rooms, one of which is easily accessible to physically disabled persons.
The restaurant (reservation only), open every day except Wednesday, offers local specialties such as homemade pasta (cappelletti, tagliatelle, orecchioni, passatelli), roast and grilled meat, hunter’s stews, salami and prosciutto, piadina (Italian flatbread), etc. All of the basic ingredients are home grown in the garden using permaculture methods, derive from animals born and raised on the farm, or are from the Azienda, which chiefly specializes in fruit growing (grapes, peaches, plums, kaki fruit, etc.).
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is seven km from Faenza, a city rich in history, art and architecture that features artisans’ workshops and artists’ studios, as well as the Museo Internazionale della Ceramica (MIC), unique in the world for its sheer scale, quantity, and quality, as well as its specialization in ceramic art. Faenza is surrounded by historic towns (Bagnacavallo, Imola, Brisighella, etc.) and is also close enough to larger cities, such as Ravenna, Bologna, Rimini, and Venice, that can easily be reached in a day.
During your stay, you can relax in contact with nature, be awoken by the crow of a rooster, take walks in fields cultivated using an integrated farming approach, harvest fruit from the trees, and create or help care for the vegetable garden.
You are invited to participate in the preparation of the fruit for marmalades, syrups, and conserves, and acquire our products. Walks on the educational farm for all ages.
