The agriturismo

Agriturismo Pian dei Tass in an oasis of peace in Valcellina in the middle of Dolomiti of Friuli Mountains (UNESCO Natural World Heritage). Just a few kilometers far from Barcis lake, the structure was crated in 1993 by renovating two ancient family houses. Surrounded by the woodlands and wild nature, Pian dei Tass is one of the most suggestive places of Northeastern Italy. It is the ideal location for truly relaxing holidays and week ends.

 

 

The accommodation

Our Agriturismo has 5 rooms and 3 comfortable flats, all with a stunning view on the surrounding nature. Our restaurant is warm and friendly, with a good selection of regional specialties and homemade products such as frico and gnocchi. Our farm is 100% biological and here you can find fresh vegetables and fruits, together with our natural apple juice.

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo is the perfect starting point for trips to discover the marvels of the Friuli Dolomiti Natural Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the main attractions of Friuli. The area is particularly suited to all those who love the great outdoors.

For lovers of the mountains and hiking, some of the highest peaks can be reached from the agriturismo, including Mount Cavallo and the Campanile di val Montanaia. Lake Barcis is just 4 km from the agriturismo.

The Valcellina offers guests the chance to canoe down the Cellina river or try the rock-climbing area in Erto-Casso and meet the famous sculptor, writer and rock climber Mauro Corona.

The mountains can be visited with a Park guide, along the upper and lower trails to discover special places and moments, like the deer’s bell or walks in the light of a full moon. It is also possible to go canyoning, paragliding, Nordic walking or down hill mountain biking.

During the winter season the ski resort of Piancavallo is open.

Different destinations can be reached from the agriturismo in less than two hours: Trieste, Udine, Pordenone and Gorizia or Spilimbergo, Maniago and San Daniele.

The famous golf club of Villa Policreti is just a few km away.

Amazing
The location at the back of the river valley is beautiful, there are small tables and chairs outside to enjoy the scenery and sun loungers. The owner is super nice and helpful. We will be back again.
