Duino-Aurisina (Trieste) Code
Our house is located within a historic complex in the village of Aurisina, in the province of Trieste. We have four double rooms (also single use) with private bathrooms, two living areas and a shared garden/indoor courtyard. We offer overnight service, with breakfast only on request with diversified menu and rates. The square where our farmhouse is located, with bar, church and small stores, is an excellent starting point for nature walks/hikes to discover the area. At this time, the square is under renovation, waiting to become a pedestrian space. Because of the ongoing work, there may be some noise caused by the construction site during the day.
The family farm is 1 km from our house.
Our house has four double rooms (also single use) with private bathrooms: the Springs, the Obelisk, the Clock, the Bridge.
We offer an overnight service, with BREAKFAST ON REQUEST with rates and menus ranging from 9 to 18 euros.
It then has a living area with piano and bookcrossing board with books for adults, teens and children, a breakfast room, and a small shared garden with bicycle parking in the building's inner courtyard.
The furnishings and objects were chosen from markets and our own homes and we included them trying to recreate a "home-like" atmosphere that would convey harmony and warmth. Each room is inspired by a different style and color, ideally connecting to the multifaceted and varied history of the building that houses Juna.
Parking is free in front of the "Bunker PUB" a few steps from the house.
The Juna farmhouse is located in the center of an area rich in history, nature and traditions. Aurisina, in the province of Trieste, a typical karst village characterized by a charming tangle of narrow streets with traditional stone houses, owes its fame above all to the quarries of prized limestone, used since ancient times. Just a few kilometers from Slovenia and Trieste, Aurisina is characterized by its fascinating local, "slow-moving" dimension and its unexpected relationship between the village and the sea. From Piazza San Rocco, where our farmhouse is located, it is possible to walk to charming nature and historical trails: from the First World War Cemetery to the Fishermen's Trail. From this path, which offers magnificent scenery from Grado, Trieste and the Istrian coast, it is easy to reach Canovella de' Zoppoli, the seaside resort that owes its name to the ancient boats carved from a single oak trunk. For two-wheeled enthusiasts, numerous trails for bikers branch off from St. Rocco Square. The Juna farmhouse, which can also be easily reached by public transportation, is close to the most important places of interest in the city of Trieste, the Region and neighboring Slovenia.
