The family run agriturismo La Valle di Vico has been producing hazelnuts and chestnuts for more than 4 generations.The farm's hazelnuts are known as “nocciola romana” (Roman hazelnuts), and they have been awarded the PDO designation, which certifies their high quality.The agriturismo spreads over 3 old farm buildings, once used to store and process farm produce.
Nestled inside the Lago di Vico Nature Reserve, the farm is ideally located just 55 km from Rome and 18 km from Viterbo. It is the perfect base for exploring the beauty of Tuscia and the ancient city of Rome, but also a relaxing oasis surrounded by greenery.
The agriturismo offers accommodation in cosy apartments surrounded by over 10,000 mq of garden. Here there is an area with swimming pool, barbecues, children playground, fitness area and a five-a-side football pitch. There also is a gazebo where enjoying a gorgeous views of the valley relaxing in one of the hammocks.
Thanks to two recently installed charging stations, it's now possibile to recharge elettric cars directly in the agriturismo.
All the apartments have independent entrance, fully-equipped kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, heating, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and bed linen and towels.
Apartments for 2: Pittimola Reale, Moretta and Moriglione. Each apartment is composed of a living-room, double bedroom and bathroom.
Apartments for 2+2: Falco Reale, Picchio Verde, Picchio Rosso, Folaga and Airone. Each apartment is composed of a living-room with sofa bed for 2, double bedroom and bathroom.
Apartment 4+2: Poiana. This apartment is composed of a living-room with sofa bed for 2, 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The agriturismo is ideal for a relaxing holiday but also for those who love strolling in nature or doing activities such as cycling, canoeing or sailing. The lake’s richeness in fauna also makes it the ideal spot to fish.
It also is the ideal starting point to discover Tuscia, well known for its cultural richness. Caprarola certainly worth a visit. Here you’ll find the stunning Palazzo Farnese which towers over the town's historic centre from on high.
Moreover, there are many characteristic locations such as: Ronciglione, Sutri, San Martino al Cimino, Civita di Bagnoreggio and Viterbo with its Medieval center. Finally, you can't miss the Etruscan necropolises in Tarquinia and Tuscania, Villa Lante in Bagnaia and the Monster Park in Bomarzo.
