The agriturismo
The agriturismo is located in the Savona inland, 5 minutes from the centre of Cairo Montenotte and a few km from the Ligurian Riviera. The perfect place for a truly relaxing stay, enjoying the chance to get up close with nature and the farm animals.
The agriturismo now boasts a brand new salt water swimming pool and 5 new rooms.
From April to September the farm produces handmade cheeses made from goat's milk; it also grows fruit and vegetables for use in its cuisine and rears pigs, sheep, hens, rabbits and purebred Piedmontese cattle, ensuring that its guests enjoy only the most wholesome of meats.
The accommodation
The agriturismo is a little hamlet comprising of a 3 storey farmhouse containing the guest rooms, a restaurant located in an old rural building, and a small house.
All rooms include private bathrooms, telephones, LCD TVs, air conditioning and Simmons mattresses. There is also a salt water swimming pool and a large sun terrace for use by guests, the perfect place to dine or enjoy an outdoor aperitif in summer.
The agriturismo’s kitchen uses fresh, wholesome ingredients, selected in harmony with the territory and the seasons: the bread is baked in the wood burning oven, the fresh pasta is homemade (“ravioli al plin”, tagliatelle, gnocchi), as are the desserts, the ice creams, the antipasti and everything else on the menu. Specialties include grilled and spit roasted meats, Piedmont “bollito misto” - a traditional Italian stew - and “lisotti di patate” – potato dumplings.
Activities and surrounding
Guests can explore a series of scenic trails on foot, by mountain bike, by moped or on horseback,
all the paths that start of cascina del vai are signposted

or even enjoy a farm tours. The centre of Cairo Montenotte, the main hamlet of the Bormida Valley, is just 5 minutes away.
In the Ferrania hills, you will also find the Adelasia Park, named after the cave in which, according to legend, Adelasia, the daughter of Otto I of Saxony, sheltered with Aleramo, her forbidden love. The reserve is the starting point for 4 different hiking routes.
The beaches of the Ligurian Riviera are also close by, along with larger towns and cities such as Acqui Terme, Mondovì, Alba and Genoa.
