Località Selva Capuzza, San Martino della Battaglia 25015 Desenzano del Garda (Brescia) Code 017067-AGR-00007
Borgo San Donino is a converted ancient farmhouse with parts of the building dating back to 1280. This unique holiday apartment complex is part of Selva Capuzza, a celebrated wine production and restaurant business. Selva Capuzza takes its name from the area, situated on the rolling hills south of Garda Lake. The heart of the family-run business (since four generations) is the vineyard - with a dedication to producing the highest quality wines. The farm holiday offers the guests space to enjoy a relaxed and tranquil stay, which together with the winery and restaurant provides the complete wine lover's holiday.
The apartments available are restored in a loving and spacious way, combining modern comfort with a genuine rustic country feel and traditional hand-made furnishings. All apartments are provided with air conditioned, kitchenette and safe.
The cool oasis of the swimming pool is bordered by a shaded grove of typical trees, providing the perfect spot for relaxing and reading as well as swimming and sun-bathing. The effect of the whole site is to provide a mini-paradise for anyone wanting to escape the busy-ness of everyday life for a few days and relax in a peaceful holiday retreat in the heart of Italy's most exquisite country-side.
When you choose to venture out from San Donino, you'll find a vast array of beautiful and historic destinations within a short car or train ride. Just 6 miles away, Desenzano is the main town on the banks of Garda Lake, and provides excellent shopping and sight-seeing opportunities, as well as a harbour and a picture-postcard waterfront walk.
All the area is rich of amazing country villages and historical memories. From Desenzano, it is just a short train ride to either Brescia - with its extensive Roman ruins and fascinating architecture - or Verona, a town rich in history stretching back thousands of years. Both Milan and Venice are also both within an hour's train ride away, on Italy's famously inexpensive and efficient rail network.
