The accommodation

The Solimago's experience takes place in an ancient family villa whose foundation dates back to Roman times, now recognized and surveyed as a Dimora Storica d'Italia, where the rhythms of the past and the most authentic flavors still echo.
In this secular and secret garden guarded by a monumental magnolia tree, Antonella and Simonetta observe the criteria of exclusive hospitality, accommodating up to 34 people in fresh and independent lodgings, restored according to the principles of bio-architecture and furnished in a happy combination of high antiques and modern design.

LA CASA SU FILOSS: a house on the second floor of an 18th-century building, with a separate entrance. It consists of a double bedroom, a bathroom with shower lit by a solar fireplace, and a bright living room, with a double sofa bed, overlooking the centuries-old plants in the garden. Colorful lime and clay plasters, exposed beams, organic oil and wax paints, natural larch floors. A fully equipped Kitchenette opens into the living room. The house on the filoss can be connected en suite with the house in the garden and thus form a large house that can accommodate up to ten people. The Filoss is the place where the people of the village, on summer evenings, meet to chat. Ideal for 2/4 people, 1 room living room-kitchen with double sofa bed 1 bathroom, independent heating, air conditioning.

LA CASA SULLA CORTE: overlooking the Solimago courtyard and protected by two majestic cedars of Lebanon, the house is on the second floor of a 17th-century building. It consists of a raised entrance hall from which one descends into the large living room with beautiful fully equipped open kitchen and double sofa bed, a large bathroom with glass shower stall, tiled in Bisazza mosaic with golden reflections, and a romantic master bedroom in which 19th-century furniture coexists with more modern furnishings. The walls are finished with colorful terra-paglia plaster, larch parquet floors and decorative palladiana, powerful exposed beams dominate the ceiling. Ideal for 2/4 people, 1 room living room-kitchen with double sofa bed 1 bathroom, independent heating, air conditioning.

LA CASA SUL SELES this house is a duplex, two floors connected by a spiral staircase. On the first floor, with direct access to the garden, the living room with open kitchen and double sofa bed, on the second floor a large double bedroom with a view of a centuries-old mulberry tree and the magnificent swimming pool, the elegant bathroom tiled in golden Bisazza mosaic with bathtub and shower, and a second entrance with a large 19th-century wardrobe closet. The colorful plasters are terra-paglia, the floors larch parquet. Seles in the Mantuan language is the threshing floor where grains were hung out to dry. Ideal for 2/4 people, 1 room living room-kitchen with double sofa bed 1 bathroom, independent heating, air conditioning.

LA CASA DELLA LOGGIA: located on the second floor of an old 17th-century building, the house takes its name from the beautiful Loggia that from the living room overlooks the Giardino dei Semplici and the dense oak forest. On the other side, the house overlooks the historic garden, among bamboos and the giant Magnolia Grandiflora. The walls are finished with clay plaster, the floors are larch parquet, and all surfaces have been treated with natural scented oils. Surmounted by exposed wooden beams, it consists of a very spacious living room with a large, perfectly equipped open kitchen and double sofa bed, an elegant double bedroom, a double attic room with the possibility of an extra bed, and two spacious bathrooms, tiled with Bisazza mosaic with golden gleams, one of which has a crystal shower stall and the other a bathtub. Ideal for 4/7 people, 2 rooms living room-kitchen with double sofa bed 2 bathrooms, independent heating, air conditioning.

LA CASA NEL BOSCO: is a very old stone house dating back to the year 1000, a fragment of the Middle Ages still intact and delightfully restored keeping the old wood and terracotta floors and the walls plastered with the ancient white of slaked lime. On the ground floor, behind the beautiful stone facade, there is a spacious kitchen and a cozy living room, both with antique fireplaces and entrances facing directly onto the beautiful garden; on the second floor there is a romantic double bedroom, and two twin bedrooms, the bathroom, wrapped in the reflections of Bisazza mosaic, with a crystal shower cabin. The rooms overlook the oak forest, the Giardino dei Semplici and under the foliage of a majestic centuries-old mulberry tree. Not far away is the convenient entrance to the magnificent swimming pool. Ideal for 4/6 people, 3 rooms living room kitchen 1 bathroom, independent heating, air conditioning on the second floor.

LA CASA NEL GIARDINO: arranged on two floors, in an 18th-century building, it consists, on the ground floor, of a comfortable, large, perfectly equipped kitchen, a cozy and elegant living room with a period fireplace and a large sofa that can turn into an extra bed at night. A larch staircase leads to the second floor where there is a beautiful master bedroom, a triple bedroom and the large bathroom, tiled in Bisazza mosaic with golden reflections, with bathtub and shower. The house overlooks the green centuries-old garden and has been completely renovated recently according to the criteria of bio-ecological architecture, with insulating plaster made of raw earth in warm summer colors, exposed beams, organic paints, oils and waxes. The house in the garden can be connected en suite with the house on the filoss and thus form a large house that can accommodate up to ten people. Ideal for 4/6 people, 2 rooms living room with sofa bed kitchen 1 bathroom, central heating, air conditioning on the second floor.

The large, scenic, newly designed pool completes the heavenly picture of the secular garden. The pool is a place of peace and rest, and guests must abide by the rules (given below) formulated in order to ensure the safety and amenity of the place. Deck chairs and towels are available. The pool measures 16 x 6 m and is 1.30 m deep; these measurements allow children to have fun and adults to swim long distances. The pool also offers the pleasures of awhirlpool and waterfall. The pool opens at 09:00 am and closes at sunset.

The Beat Bar is located on the large terrace overlooking the pool and the peace of the garden. At the Beat Bar, at leisure, guests can have a typical Italian à la carte breakfast from 9:00 to 11:00 am. The Beat Bar is for guests only and offers the opportunity to enjoy Bio wines produced by Solimago, cool drinks , aperitifs, and, from 12:00 to 19:00, snacks, ice creams, desserts and light meals, all strictly organic and plant-based.

Everything is prepared in an ethical manner . The loft in Solimago is fantastic. Ideal for staying with children, where they can sleep and play on the futon mattresses. The large space is ideal for families. You have the whole house to yourself and no one is disturbed if the children trample a little harder.

Good
We were in Solimago with three children and had a great time. The facility is large and offers a lot of space. However, some things have disturbed us. Unfortunately, there is a lot of dog waste, which the guests with dogs have not removed. Mosquitoes are a constant companion, but... Read more

Dear Mr. and Mrs. C.,
We are sorry that you did not appreciate our hospitality.
The "old lady" reminds you that the pool regulations were sent to you well in advance and that they are regulations in use in all public pools in Lombardy. You did whatever you wanted and were told only once to avoid diving and flip-flops inside the pool area.
Checking the pool is not optional, it is an obligation, to ensure, hygiene, tranquility and above all the safety of all guests.
Copying other people's malicious and false reviews to confirm their value is a rather mean gesture.
When you go to someone else's house you should respect the rules of the host. If someone tidies up what you have left lying around you should be grateful. We wish you, in the future, to find something better, for you, and especially muscular young lifeguards, those with whom it is better not to argue...

Pleased to meet you, I am Antonella Licata and I am 65 years old.
I have been managing Solimago since 2004 with my family.
As well as we welcome the guests, we are responsible for communication, we take care of the crops.
It was a desire to to live in nature which led me to run an agriturismo.
Our guests' favourite thing about Solimago is the chance to stay in a natural setting.
