The agriturismo

In the heart of the Oltrepo pavese, amidst vineyards and homesteads, an old, late 19th century home has been restored to its original architecture to produce seven splendid apartments, all different from each other.

The home harmonises modern facilities, open stonework, ceilings with timber beams and antique furniture.

The accommodation

The agriturismo was created with the purposes of injecting new life into the old family homestead, abandoned to its fate, and to therefore retrieve the family furniture and accessories that decorate the rooms.

All apartments have fully equipped kitchen, refrigerator, TV, wi-fi.

Private swimming pool (without life guard), wide garden, some tables in the garden to enjoy the breakfast and the meals, TV, unattended private parking as a courtesy.

In the kitchen guests find a welcome basket (containing milk, coffee, tea, water, fruit juices, rusks, jam, biscuits) and they can cook as they wish.

At the agriturismo not be catering/restaurant service; nearby there are many typical restaurants, shops and markets to suit everyone's needs.

Kitchenware, sheets and towels included (towels for the swimming pool and hairdryer not included).

Smoking is prohibited in the apartments.

Minimum stay: 2 nights.

 

 

 

Activities and surrounding

Guests can admire old farming equipment in the fully renovated old stalls, which are also great for organising parties and receptions.

Located on the "strada dei vini", at the entrance to Santa Maria della Versa, the agriturismo is the perfect launching pad for famous tourist sites such as Pavia and its Certosa, Bobbio and Val Trebbia, traditional hillside castles and villages like Zavatarello and Varzi, the natural reserve of Monte Alpe on the Penice pass, the hermitage of Sant'Alberto di Butrio and lots of other old chapels.

During the day, it is possible to arrange trips to the Lakes (Maggiore, Como, Garda), to the Liguria coastline, to the history filled towns along the Po (Piacenza, Cremona, Mantova). Supermarkets and markets offering regional products, canteens and wine bars, restaurants, shopping centres are all close by.

Sports buffs can choose trekking and hikes on foot or by bike amongst the vineyards.
