L'Antigo Granaro

In Agugliano (Ancona), Héléne and Filippo have made their home a "maison d'hôtes" in which guests can experience the spaces of the house, shared with the owner family, and enjoy a room with bathroom, breakfast and tasty dishestraditional Marche dishes cooked by Filippo with love, employing quality products from the farm and local agricultural realities. The swimming pool is nestled in the green garden, enjoying the sun from morning and, in the afternoon, looking at the fiery sunsets over the Sibillini Mountains. Five rooms with bathrooms are available in the house, while another is located in an annex.

The facility is decorated with period furniture and soft lighting, paintings and carpets from around the world. Under the wrought-iron patio, covered with reeds, you can relax during the hottest hours. A large one-hectare garden with olive trees, roses, and native fruit plants frames the property.

The farmhouse has five accommodations:

Room "Timilia" - Double Superior: In ancient times this was the room reserved for young newlyweds, since in peasant families when a son married it was customary to enlarge the house to accommodate the new couple. Inside this double room is a late 19th-century dresser brought as dowry by the bride.

Room "Verna" - Double Superior: Located above the old stable, in ancient times this double room was accessed by a ladder so that the animals could be checked quickly if needed. Inside you can admire an early 20th-century closet and a chest of drawers from the 1920s.

Room "Senatore Cappelli" - Triple Superior: In ancient times this room was occupied by the grandparents, but during births and weaning the new parents moved in. It was, along with the kitchen, one of the focal points of the rural Marche family. Inside is still the old desk that served as the "office" for family paperwork.

Room "Gentilrosso" - Suite: Carved out of the former grain warehouse, this spacious accommodation located in the tower of the house offers 360-degree views of the Marche countryside has the advantage of always being ventilated and illuminated. It consists of a double bedroom, a living room in which an additional bed can be made, and a bathroom. The furniture that makes up the furnishings dates back to the 1920s.

Room "Amaranto" - Standard Double: In the cellar on the ground floor is this large room, which is on one floor and has no stairs. A beautiful closet and dresser dating back to the early twentieth century dominate its interior.

Annex "Frassinetto" - Double Superior: Created in the former renovated barn, this large room enjoys a splendid view of the Sibillini Mountains and the pool present in the garden. The floors are made of terracotta and the furniture is period.

The farmhouse is just 5 min from Circolo Ippico La Torre, which specializes in equestrianism (possibility of guided rides and riding lessons), 15 min from the Piantate Lunghe winery , renowned for its delicious local wines , and 25 min from Loreto and Jesi.

Thanks to an advantageous location a short distance from the Adriatic Sea and the city of Ancona, in a short time it is possible to visit both the coast and the interior of this beautiful region, in all its facets.
