The agriturismo
7 km from the sea pf Senigallia, with its 'spiaggia di velluto' (velvet beach), the agriturismo is the result of careful refurbishment – completed in Summer 2012 – of an old country farmstead, dating back to the early 20th century. It is located on a 10-hectare farm.
The accommodation
The agriturismo has 5 apartments (the biggest one has facilities for the disabled) each with their own entrance, kitchen nook and insect screens.
Guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool (open from June to September) as well as a large garden with barbecue.
The agriturismo is part of a family-run farm that produces organic extra-virgin olive oil (that is for sale along with other organic products).
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is located 7 km from the sea of Senigallia with its 'spiaggia di velluto' or velvet beach and its nightspots (as well as its shops and malls that also trade on holidays). About 50 km away is Mount Conero with the natural beaches of Numana, Mezza Valle and Portonovo.
The mediaeval villages (Ostra, Corinaldo and Ostra Vetere) are also worth a visit; they are steeped in history and tradition and have retained all their old charm. The Grotte di Frasassi, caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites are located in the hinterland, 45 km from the agriturismo. Urbino, city of art and pearl of the Renaissance is about 60 km away.
A number of restaurants nearby serve local product (including meat and fish) and there are also wineries where guests can taste the locally produced wine (tasting sessions and guided tours are also organised).
