The agriturismo is situated just a few km from the Adriatic Sea, in the hills that ripple out from the Val Menocchia, offering a countryside rich in itineraries and trails that can be followed on foot or by bicycle.
It opened ten years ago as part of a farm dating back to 1959 and specialised in the cultivation of vines and cereals, fruit and olives for the production of extra-virgin olive oil.
An information desk in the communal areas offers info about local events.
The agriturismo offers accommodation in 5 apartments which are elegantly furnished and blend into the beautiful natural setting. Each accommodation unit has a private outdoor area with a view of the Adriatic sea or the Sibillini mountains.
Guests may also avail of a communal area and a large car park.
The sea is within easy reach (6 km) from the stretch of coastline between Porto San Giorgio and San Benedetto del Tronto.
Montefiore dell'Aso offers a science museum dedicated to ancient measuring instruments and the San Francesco museum centre, which organises events and is home to works of art (polyptychs by Carlo Crivelli, xylographs by Adolfo De Carolis, prints by Domenico Cantatore and scenery by Giuseppe Basili). An outdoor cinema festival is held every year in the Chiosco di San Francesco.
Montefiore also offers a wealth of natural attractions with its Parco De Vecchis and large network of trails for hiking or biking, not to mentioned themed itineraries such as the town walls tour, the churches tour and the Picene necropolis.
Ripatransone stands on top of a hill with a panoramic view ("belvedere del Piceno") and has an old town centre with medieval, renaissance and Baroque buildings, plus Italy’s narrowest lane (43 cm). It has a rich heritage conserved in six museums, and hosts the "Cavallo di fuoco" firework show (the first Sunday after Easter). Its typical local dish is "ciavarro" (made from pulses and cereals with a spicy sauce).
