The agriturismo
The family farmhouse is located at about 1000 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains National Park, dates back to the second half of the 1800s and has been restored preserving the typical architectural characteristics of the old farmhouses of the Marche region. The dominant position offers breathtaking views that ranges from the peaks of the Sibillini to the Adriatic Coast.
Guests will be welcomed personally and will find a family environment, characterized by warm hospitality and the utmost willingness to organize their stay in the best possible way, for a holiday immersed in nature, in an authentic territory, far from the mass circuits, where you can live experiences of rural life.
The accommodation
The farmhouse consists of cozy apartments, ideal for families, groups of friends or couples who want to enjoy a healthy and relaxing holiday in contact with nature, in the atmosphere of rural life, in a place rich in traditions, gastronomy, history, art, legends and important natural treasures.
The apartments are equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, TV, independent heating and fireplace (in 2 apartments). Guests have access to a large multipurpose room with fireplace, where we offer a rich breakfast with homemade cakes and local products.
The accommodations are also suitable for groups or large families who can take advantage of the rustic room for convivial moments.
Outside there are outdoor spaces with seating, a garden, a barbecue area and a wood-burning oven and, for the little ones, a playground. Free parking. Washing machine available.
On request it is possible to use the Nordic tub, for exclusive use.
Activities and surrounding
Children can join the activities of the countryside, work in the organic vegetable garden and take care of the farmyard animals or join educational games or activities of environmental education.
With its strategic location the farmhouse is a good base for those who love nature, trekking and hiking to reach the most beautiful places of the Park such as the Hell’s Gorge (Infernaccio), the Mount Sibilla and the Lake of Pilato. The farmhouse arrange guided walks and visits to the museums of the area such as the new Museum of the Sibilla in Montemonaco and the Anthropological Museum of the Park in Amandola. Le Castellare is near Rubbiano, one of the stops on the route of the Grande Anello dei Sibillini (special service to hikers who walk this one and other paths).
The lovely medieval village of Montemonaco is 5 km away, Montefortino with its Palazzo Duranti, known as Little Louvre of the Sibillini, is 6 km away. The pretty town of Amandola is 10 km. The medieval town of Ascoli Piceno, of great artistic and historical interest, with its historic centre entirely built with travertine, is about 40 km. The famous plateau of Castelluccio, with its “Fioritura” and its tasty lentils is at 38 km. Bolognola and Sassotetto ski resort are at about 40 km.
