Cagli (Pesaro e Urbino) Code
In the vicinity of the farmhouse, remains of a Roman residence have emerged, which was on the route of a secondary road that connected the current Marche to Umbria. It is easy to suppose that the name of the place may derive from the fact that at that time there was a blacksmith or a service station where it was possible to change horses' shoes, which were mostly tied with leather laces; such stations were quite frequent and widespread in Roman times and in addition to the stop of the animals allowed travelers to get refreshed. The farm covers more than twenty hectares; the land is used for cereal crops, fruit and vegetables and the breeding of small animals. The area is rich in forests, watercourses and nature is unspoilt.
