The agriturismo
The agricamping is located on our farm, which is distinguished by the protection of biodiversity: more than 300 varieties of fruits, vegetables, flowers and wild plants, and then cattle of ancient breed V.O.T. (varzese tortonese ottonese), Piedmontese blond and millefiori hens, black Lomellina pigs, a paint mare, Saarloos wolf dogs, Bengal cats. Thanks to the stone mill and dairy, it is possible to buy many products (or enjoy them in the farm'sagritourism ): dairy products, baked goods from traditional stone-milled flours (San Pastore, Senatore Cappelli, ottofile corn), wine, meats, cold cuts,eggs, fruits and vegetables, jams and preserves,...We are also an educational farm with Planetarium to discover together the wonders of the sky and the Earth!
The accommodation
The farm is set in the context of the countryside of the plains of Alessandria and is one of the most innovative farms in Italy, characterized by the self-production of almost all the food that is on the agritourism table, the use of renewable resources with closed-loop supply chains under the banner of zero waste, and a vocation for education and hospitality. The agricamping can accommodate tents or campers for up to 12 guests: 2 fixed pitches for campers/caravans are provided with electricity and water (no sewage drains). There are 3 showers and 3 bathrooms available for all, including one for handicapped persons. The 2 pitches in total have 3 Kwatt available. The price of a pitch is 15 euros per night. It is also possible to have lunch or dinner at our farmhouse, purchase farm products and participate in agricultural and astronomical educational activities with the Planetarium (by reservation and subject to availability).
Activities and surrounding
Throughout the year, agricultural, educational and popular events are organized to involve guests in country life and various production activities. Naturalistic and historical-artistic excursions to nearby towns and hills are organized for groups: Tortona and its entourage, Val Curone, Val Grue, Oltrepò Pavese,.... The agricamping is located in Castelnuovo Scrivia, one of the most convenient gateways to the hills of Oltrepò Pavese and Tortonese: 20 min. from the Milan tollbooth and less than an hour from Genoa, Turin and Piacenza, this village has splendid monuments of sacred and civic art, as do many of the surrounding villages (especially medieval and Romanesque-Gothic in style).
