The agriturismo
The recently built farmhouse is located in the foothills of Asti UNESCO World Heritage Site (at 276 m) surrounded by vineyards, with a beautiful view of the surrounding villages and hills, but close to the most important towns in the provinces of Asti, Cuneo and Alessandria, such as Acqui Terme, Nizza and Monferrato Alba.
Surrounded by about 5 hectares of vineyards, it has been handed down for three generations and has been renovated in recent decades, while maintaining local native qualities in the tradition of cultivation.
Moscato Barbera Brachetto is produced, which is given to one of the most important wineries in the area (Cantina di Nizza Monferrato CdN).
The accommodation
There are two three-bed rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a 3-4-bed room with bathroom and shower equipped for the disabled, all three with a small terrace and garden at their disposal. A bright living room with TV, convenient parking, solarium area with heated Jacuzzi, chairs and deck chairs complete the facilities.
Stanza Letizia is dedicated to the beloved grandmother Letizia. It is in the shade of green, consisting of a double and a single bed,and small relaxing chair. The room overlooks the vineyards and has a small balcony with a small table and chairs for reading.
Casimiro Room is dedicated to grandfather Casimiro, in the shade of blue. It has a large room with double bed and sofa (on occasion 1/2 single beds or crib for small child), with large bathroom with corner shower and corner tub. Exit to the lawn with small tables and chairs for reading.
Dori Room is dedicated to Dori, dear friend. In the shade of cream, it consists of a double and a single bed, a small ottoman that turns into a baby bed on occasion. Its view overlooks the vineyards and has a small balcony with a small table and chairs for reading.
In the morning, guests will enjoy a hearty breakfast in the common room with homemade cakes and jams, fresh bread, milk, coffee or tea.
It will also be possible to make advance reservations for lunch and/or homemade dinner with typical local products, and there is also the possibility of providing appropriate menus for all those who suffer from celiac disease having been informed by AIC about the preparation of gluten-free meals.
Activities and surrounding
In the garden there is a relaxation area with a heated Jacuzzi for those who like to relax.
The area surrounding the farmhouse is full of paths with very seductive views: spectacular glimpses of entire hillsides neatly cultivated with vineyards, a UNESCO heritage site.
Organized are:
- Walks among the vineyards;
- Visits to the village of Mombaruzzo, with its churches and small museums;
- Visits to small craft workshops of macaroons and honey;
- Visits to the Nizza Monferrato CdN winery where grapes are processed into the typical wines of the area such as Moscato D'Asti, La Barbera, and Brachetto D'Acqui.
Nearby: riding centers, thermal baths of Acqui, Berta Beccaris distilleries, WWF Park, Underground Cathedrals of Canelli.
A strategic point for the three provinces(Asti, Alessandria and Cuneo), the farmhouse is about an hour's drive from Turin, Genoa and Milan, and a few kilometers from Nizza Monferrato, Acqui Terme and Asti. Mombaruzzo train station less than 1,000 m away.
