Just 20 km from Alba, land of the white truffle, and around a 30 minute drive from the historic wine cellars of Canelli, a traditional 19th century house, tastefully renovated to restore all the beauty of the period construction, reflecting a love for the simple things and smoothly integrating modern comforts into the context of the space.
The accommodation
The 4 guest rooms are located at the heart of the historic centre of Castagnole delle Lanze, halfway between the Langhe and Montferrat, land of fine wines (Barbera, Barolo, Asti Spumante...) and high quality traditional cuisine. All rooms include a double bed, a bathroom with shower or bath, independent heating, air conditioning, a hairdryer, an automated access control system, free Wi-Fi connection, a 32” LED TV and the option to add a third bed.
Each morning, guests can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast of homemade sweet treats such as flans, jams and bread. Nearby you’ll also find a selection of restaurants serving local specialties and typical wines.
Activities and surrounding
As well as accompanying guests as they discover the wonders of Piedmont, providing tips on places to visit, tourist attractions, osterias and restaurants, on request the agriturismo also offers guided truffle hunting, with the "trifolao" and his faithful dog, or "Lessons in the vines", a fun and interesting way to discover how a fine wine is born. You can also spend a day accompanying the producer as he goes about his work, visit the historic wine cellars of nearby Canelli, real “underground cathedrals” nominated as a Unesco World Heritage site, or explore the wine cellars of the Langhe and Roero.
