The agriturismo
Farmhouse located on the Colle del Mortč, a beautiful piedmont area between the municipality of Roccaforte Mondově (home of the Terme di Lurisia discovered by Madame Curie) and the municipality of Chiusa di Pesio (home of the Natural Park of Marguareis). The structure is surrounded by about 10 hectares of land in property cultivated in part with chestnut trees, orchards and greenhouses organic, are also raised bees in a natural regime for the production of honey millefiori strictly organic. The small restaurant offers on weekends the opportunity to taste typical cuisine exclusively organic, the restaurant is not open to the public to preserve the tranquility of the guest and is required to book at the time of confirmation of the room. The accommodation
Structure obtained from the radical restoration of a mountain farm, abandoned since 1959 and inaugurated in 2012; the 7 rooms from 2 to 5 pax are spacious, powered and heated exclusively by sources of ecological and renewable energy, are all equipped with bathroom with shower, TV, internet, hot drinks and herbal teas. The small organic restaurant offers on weekends the opportunity to taste typical cuisine exclusively organic, the restaurant is not open to the public to preserve the tranquility of the guest and is required to make a reservation when confirming the room.
Activities and surrounding
Located at 700mt above sea level, on the watershed between Val Ellero and Val Pesio, unspoilt area of the Maritime Alps characterized by its central position with respect to the sea, the mountains and the French Riviera, the Alpine area offers countless hiking trails in the middle of the mountains starting from both the farm and the surrounding valleys, at 10 minutes. by car the door of the Natural Park of Marguareis with its spectacular routes, well equipped and its contour of refuges that offer catering services, at the same time you can reach oases of wwf (Crava and Morozzo) with their wide variety of migratory and sedentary birds. The Terme di Lurisia (unfortunately closed in winter) can be reached on foot with a short walk in the woods, offering a discreet spa and the possibility of hydropinic treatments with curative water discovered by Madame Curie in 1918. In 30 minutes by car, the Langa and Roero, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Alba, Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti with their postcards of vineyards and villages and, of course, the opportunity to taste the best and most famous Italian wines. At 40 min. Turin and the historic royal palaces of the Savoys. At the farm you can book e-bikes and guided horseback rides to discover in relaxation the various Alpine routes. Our mountains also offer majestic caves that can be visited (Bossea, Caudano with adventure trails for adults and children and Dossi); the Sanctuary of Vicoforte, mausoleum of the Savoys, known to most for being the largest elliptical dome in Europe offers a path "The Magnificat" unique in its kind to discover the architectural beauty of the interior in complete safety. Even winter offers many activities: 5 minutes by car from the ski area "Mondolč", reachable on foot with the chairlift Rastello-Turra, has 130 km. of slopes, cross-country trails reachable in 5 minutes. both at Roccaforte Mondově and Chiusa di Pesio, walks with snowshoes, with sleds pulled by dogs or horses. For experienced freeride skiers there are numerous routes at high altitudes.
