The farmhouse is located in Monticello d'Alba, in the province of Cuneo, a characteristic town in lower Piedmont, in the area known as Roero. From the pool , the view sweeps from the Langa hills to the small villages of the Roero, framed by the Alpine chain among which Monviso stands out majestically.
A "refuge for the soul," surrounded by nature and an ideal half for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a few days in complete tranquility.
In particular, it is great for lovers of trekking and meditation, because you will have ample space to relax in complete privacy, with the possibility of taking long walks surrounded by vineyards and forests, in an atmosphere of peace and silence that smacks of other times.
ROOMS
The rooms and rooms of the farmhouse originate froma rural house dating back to 1886, which has been renovated respecting its original features, using bio-building materials.
The three guest rooms are named: Robin, Nightingale and Goldfinch. They are located on the second floor of the house, reached by stairs or a convenient elevator.
They are furnished with solid wood furniture and 2 m long beds with latex mattresses forextra comfort. They are all equipped with a safe, bathroom with shower, hairdryer, linen and ceiling fan.
All rooms have access to a balcony with panoramic views.
BREAKFAST WITH TYPICAL PRODUCTS, COLLECTION AND TASTING
The overnight stay includes a buffet breakfast consisting of typical local sweet and savory products. You can also taste and buy the fruits and vegetables produced on our farm, cultivated in a natural way, respecting the life cycle of the plant and recovering the ancient varieties that are in danger of disappearing. Depending on the season, you can then taste: apricots, cherries, peaches, plums, figs and pears that you can go and pick with your own hands in the orchard. In addition, since 2020, the cultivation of almonds has been successfully started, joining the consortium "Frutta a Guscio del Piemonte" (Piedmont Shell Fruit). Although a typical plant of southern Italian regions, the almond, due to climate changes in recent years, has found a favorable growing place on the steep and sunny hills of the Bricchi.
Despite being a secluded place surrounded by nature, the farmhouse is, however, in a favorable and central location for reaching the main tourist cities in the area: Alba and Bra.
The town of Alba (10 km) is famous for the Truffle Fair and for Vinum, a national fair of the wines of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato.
The town of Bra (8 km) is known for, among other things, the Cheese international cheese fair.
From the balcony of the house there is also a splendid view of the castle of the "Conti Roero" dating back to the 11th century, which is still in excellent condition and is open to the public in spring and fall with guided tours.
The Rifugio dell'Anima is located on "Sentiero S4," a circuit of dirt roads that allow a panoramic traverse through the heart of the Roero, offering the possibility of reaching the villages of Monticello, Corneliano, Piobesi d'Alba and Vezza d'Alba by walking, riding or biking through woods, vineyards and cultivated fields.
The facility providesguests with two pedal-assisted mountain bikes for excursions.
The whole territory of the Roero and the nearby Langhe is characterized by numerous picturesque villages that are also worth a visit in order to taste the typical dishes and wines in the restaurants and wine cellars of which the area is rich.
