Località Corconneddu, Santa Caterina di Pittinuri 09073 Cuglieri (Oristano) Code
The agriturismo is situated at Santa Caterina, on Sardinia’s west coast, in a small town overlooking limestone cliffs, that takes its name from the Aragonese "Pittinuri" tower. The Mediterranean countryside is characterized by myrtle, lentisk and cistus.
Guest accommodation is in original, stone-built rooms and bungalows. The large restaurant offers traditional Sardinian and Montiferru cooking. Guests can also enjoy the natural surroundings in the large outdoor areas.
The agriturismo has three double rooms with services, and 8 bungalows, each sleeping 4, with services and air conditioning (on request). All the accommodation has traditional country-style furnishings and a fridge.
The family-run farm grows forage, cereals and vegetables, as well as having olive groves, orchards and vineyards. It also rears livestock: sheep, cows, pigs, boars, chickens and rabbits.
The agritourism centre is a 5-minute walk from the beach of Santa Caterina, but the beaches of the coast at Oristano and the archaeological sites of Cornus and Tharros are also nearby. Dinghy trips to the island of Mal di Ventre can also be organised.
Along with S'Archittu and Torre del Pozzo, Santa Caterina di Pittinuri is one of the best-known tourist resorts in the province of Oristano. The town developed around the church of the same name, and is dominated by a 16th-century Spanish lookout tower.
15 km away is Cuglieri, with its fine 17th-century church of Santa Maria della Neve and, nearby, the volcanic area of Montiferru, with its geologically varied terrain and unspoilt, rugged countryside.
