The agriturismo
The Azienda Agricola Agrituristica Il Muto di Gallura is a typical example of a "stazzo gallurese," a human dwelling and productive settlement that based its subsistence and economy in remote antiquity, as it still does today, on what was produced locally, through agricultural and livestock activities. In this typical Gallura building, the domestic rites of the agro-pastoral tradition are officiated: from the expert preparation of sausages, cheeses and preserves, to the elaboration of a simple and genuine cuisine. In winter you eat in the cozy rooms warmed by the fireplace fire, and in summer on the veranda, in front of a beautiful landscape.
The accommodation
The farmhouse offers hospitality in nine rooms in the three largest stazzi: two are located in the main stazzo, three in the breakfast stazzo (two of which have a whirlpool), and four in the pool stazzo. In addition there are Le casette del Bosco, seven small stazzi in the cussorgia (small masonry houses hidden in a peaceful cork oak forest), each with a double room and private bathroom, air conditioning, TV and independent entrance.
Activities and surrounding
Alarge open-airswimming pool and comfortable relaxation area with whirlpool, chromotherapy, infrared sauna and steam bath is available for all guests for a relaxing and rejuvenating vacation of physical and mental well-being. Guided excursions by foot, oxcart and Land Rover are organized. During these excursions one can visit country churches, nuraghi and beautiful landscapes of unspoiled nature including a wonderful waterfall. One has the opportunity to participate in farm production work and learn some now lost notions of farming and animal husbandry. Inside the farmhouse it is possible to visit the oxcart museums.
