Agriturismo Relais Casa Mirabile

The estate that now houses the Relais Casa Mirabile was an 18th-century hunting preserve owned by a middle-class landowning family from Agrigento. The owner, an avid hunter, spent his holidays on the estate with his family and devoted himself to the cultivation of his vineyards, wheat, cotton, and almonds. The man chose the Menfi area so that every morning he could wake up looking at the sea he loved so much.

The rooms are ready to give you all the comforts, the relaistavern aims to tell ancient stories of vines, flavors and recipes by welcoming guests as members of the family, the halls and garden become, often, the setting for weddings, events, exhibitions and more.

Today, the Relais Casa Mirabile is an agritourism with an ancient spirit, but one that is constantly being updated, taking into account the needs of its guests, services that are always up-to-date, without ever betraying its history, proposing itself as a nerve center for exchange and sharing and with the goal of giving its clients a well-rounded Sicilian experience.

Its name derives from the adjective admirable, hence "to be admired": in addition to its permanent exhibition , the relais hosts exhibitions of contemporary Sicilian and international artists all year round. As of today, the staff also dares to say to be experienced!

The relais houses thirteen rooms. Each room has been carefully designed and furnished respecting the original style of theatenuta and enriching it with works of art and sculptures by modern and contemporary Sicilian artists.

Elegant master rooms that are spacious and bright, enriched by antique furnishings owned by the Barbera family or already present on the estate. Among their features: being different from each other. Double beds with down pillows. Ceramic toilets and lava stone and glass showers.

Casa Mirabile Relais offers romantic rooms located in the premises of the old stables of the estate. Unique and spacious rooms, renovated following the original style. Two rooms one different from the other, predominant beige and earth tones. Carefully chosen fabrics and vintage furniture elements.

Very large rooms consisting of two rooms, parquet and tile floors, majolica, hand-decorated, already present before the renovation. Rooms finely decorated with period furniture characteristic of our island. Room with elegant four-poster bed. Bathroom with parquet floors, bathtub and shower with lava stone finishes. Each suite has a private terrace overlooking the farm's vineyards and the sea.

Relais Casa Mirabile has always tried to create a family atmosphere by looking at the territory and telling the same through partnerships and cooperation with the protagonists of the local scene! The goal is to make the guest live the true Sicilian experience. Every year there are must seasonal family events that guests can participate in, such as the olive harvest, the "zabinata," salsa day, and the grape harvest!

The whole area is full of interesting and unforgettable stops: the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, beautiful and lively Sciacca, the archaeological park of Selinunte, the restorative aquecalde of Montevago , and, again, the charm of Palermo, Trapani and the Arab mystery of Mazara.

A unique enchantment for the eyes and the spirit, but also so much delight for those in search of authentic flavors, a cuisine made of unique raw materials testimony and sublimation of the generosity of Sicilian nature and those who enjoy it, these are the ingredients that make our territory a reference point on the island capable of transmitting unique emotions.

Menfi is a reality in close contact with agricultural production with a unique and constantly growing tourist vocation, the cultivation of vines and olive trees are an important resource that punctuates the rhythm of life of the inhabitants of the village. The link between wine and Menfi's history is curious and indissoluble. Every year between the end of June and the beginning of July in Menfi there is the great event of INYCON, which through art, food and above all wine, aims to tell the story of Menfi and its winemakers.

Porto Palo, Blue Flag since 1992, is the most important seaside resort in the district, the beach with sandy dunes and lush protected vegetation stretches for about 7 km.
