Via dott. Mario Amato, 10 (parallela a Via Spiaggia) , 95016 Mascali (Catania)
The farm is on the eastern coast of Sicily, at the foot of Etna, between Taormina and Acireale. The property stands on around 10 hectares of land cultivated with lemon, clementine, orange and olive trees as well as a range of vegetables.
The perfect holiday for those who love peace and quiet and nature, the agriturismo is strategically located close to the sea (just 200 metres away and accessible on foot), and also at the centre of the region’s main transport links, offering easy access to Etna and the area’s main tourist destinations.
Surrounded by lemon trees, the apartments have been created inside old farmhouses which have been completely renovated. Guest accommodation is provided in four apartments, each with its own independent entrance. All apartments include kitchens with pots and pans and tableware, bathrooms with showers, refrigerators and TVs. Guests can also dine outdoors on the shaded terrace with tables and chairs.
One apartment has been adapted for guests with special needs.
Sun deck and outdoor shower.
Just 8 km from the main body of the farm, you’ll find a further two accommodation options: the Puntalazzo house and guesthouse. Located on the slopes of Etna, in beautiful scenery with views of the coast and the sea, a charming holiday spot nestled amidst fruit trees (apricots, cherries, apples and pears).
30 km takes you to Catania, and 15 km to Taormina and the beautiful Baroque town of Acireale. 200 metres away there is a stunning sand and gravel beach: the coast is home to a range of seaside resorts with all the shops, services and restaurants you could need. The staff will be happy to recommend its partner trattorias and restaurants, where there may be discounts available for the agriturismo’s guests, the ideal place to enjoy traditionally prepared local dishes.
Guests can also purchase the farm’s own produce, including lemons, nova clementines, seasonal fruit, jams, oil and honey.
Giovanni Russo, the owner of Russo Rocca, and the inheritor of a precious tradition, will take you on a tour of the town's last distillery, "Galeano Mazzullo", founded by his great-grandfather and still producing spirits and liqueurs today.
