The agriturismo
The farm is located very close to Mount Etna, in the territory of the municipality of Giarre. You are welcomed into a mid-nineteenth-century farmhouse surrounded by 10 hectares of citrus grove, certified organic in 2012, where Navel oranges, Nova clementines, lemons and pomegranates are produced.
The sea in the background and the location between Catania and Taormina make the property perfect for a vacation in the green in one of the most beautiful areas of Sicily.
The accommodation
The hosts are warmly and familiarly welcoming: you can stay overnight on a B&B basis. Breakfast is plentiful and has a sweet and a savory part, with cured meats, cheeses, cereals, and homemade jams.
You sleep in five comfortable rooms and a mini apartment. The rooms have historic furniture, private toilet with shower, hair dryer, heating, desk, TV, air conditioning.
You can taste and buy the farm's products: orange and lemon jams, extra virgin olive oil, almonds, fruit (oranges, pears, tangerines, lemons).
Activities and surrounding
The eastern part of Sicily is full of wonders starting with MountEtna, the highest active volcano on the European continent. There are so many attractions to visit: nature reserves, villages and cities with a rich past such as Taormina (Greek theater), Catania, with its lava stone houses, the houses of worship in the Anapo Valley, the extraordinary baroque of Acireale.
The land is very rich in PDO and PGI presidia: almonds, pistachios, oil, honey, citrus fruits, prickly pears. Not forgetting the cuisine of the freshest fish and the wines of Etna...
