The agriturismo
In a thriving garden which includes a mosaic-bottomed swimming pool with a lava stone solarium, an aristocratic Sicilian residence boasting a striking facade with two large terraces. The east side of the house offers stunning views of Etna, while to the south you will find the small town of Centuripe, perched on a nearby mountain.
The accommodation
The villa spreads over 350 square metres, and features perfectly restored original flooring and tasteful and elegant furnishings. Inside, the main entrance leads on to the large lounge with open fireplace, sofas and TV. The lounge leads on to a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a second bathroom with WC and washbasin suitable for use by disabled guests. Also leading off from the lounge are the reading room with sofas and a further two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom.
The reading room leads on to another bathroom with shower. One of the bedrooms features a mezzanine with a double bed. The other side of the lounge leads on to the dining room and a bathroom. Adjacent to the dining room there are 2 bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom and the other accessible from outside. From here you can access the old stables and mangers, now transformed into a kitchen with a large dining table for 12 people and private garden access.
A few steps down from the kitchen are the old wine cellars. Two of the bedrooms can accommodate a single bed and all doubles can be switched to twin accommodation. The house can accommodate a total of 14 guests. All bedrooms are air conditioned and include Sky TV.
Activities and surrounding
Off the conventional tourist track, the villa stands in a peaceful natural setting with plenty to explore: the Mount Etna Park and the Nebrodi Mountain Park are just a few km away.
Around half an hour by car takes you to Catania and the east coast with Taormina to the north, Syracuse and Ortigia to the south, and the region’s many beaches.
The Villa Romana del Casale in Piazza Armerina and Caltagirone are an hour away by car.
