The agriturismo
Nestled in the Sicilian countryside, 13 km from the sea and 10 km from beautiful UNESCO sites, this charming home, with typical furnishings, is surrounded by organically conducted vineyards and olive groves.
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a warm welcome drink (they will also find flowers and fresh fruit in their room), to make them feel immediately at home and pampered... a feeling that will accompany them throughout their vacation, thanks to a staff prepared and available for any request, which has made a warm welcome its main strength.
The accommodation
In an old agricultural nucleus, developed around the baglio (the traditional inner courtyard), the large600-square-meter house is built of stone and consists of several living and sitting rooms, large rooms and a kitchen. The living room is built inside in an old wine cellar, called a "palmento," and has large windows overlooking the baglio and an old fireplace. The kitchen is original, with a wood-burning oven and a large stone sink.
The bedrooms, naturally cool in summer and warm in winter, are still equipped with heating and air conditioning; spacious and furnished in vintage style, they all have private bathrooms decorated with antique majolica tiles, a panoramic bathtub and large shower, and an antique stone sink. All accommodations, scented with fresh wild flowers, feature original antique flooring.
An unforgettable organic breakfast is served every morning under the olive trees or in theancient palmento.
Guests can freely pick oranges, tangerines and figs from the orchard, relax walking among the vines and olive trees or take a swim in the 18-m swimming pool inside the Arabian garden.
To satisfy even the most discerning palates, the farm restaurant offers refined dishes cooked according to the recipes of the ancient Sicilian aristocracy. Completing the offer is a wonderful wine cellar where you can take a tasting tour of prestigious wines.
