The agriturismo
A small oasis of relaxation in the heart of the Monti Iblei countryside. Equipped with an infinity pool with a beautiful panoramic view. The farmhouse is surrounded by its own olive grove and by fruit trees and plants, as well as by a vegetable garden, whose products are used in the kitchen. It has only 2 rooms, with double bed, in order to guarantee exclusivity and attention to the customer. It is also a place for animal lovers, especially dogs.
The accommodation
Next to the old rural house dating back to 1927, a new structure has been integrated where the two bedrooms are located, furnished with care, simplicity and attention to detail. Each room has access to the solarium terrace. They are equipped with a private bathroom with a window and a comfortable shower. On the ground floor, in addition to the reception, there is the breakfast room with a panoramic view of the lush Monti Iblei, thanks to the large full-wall windows. Breakfast is included. On request, it is possible to taste the cuisine based on products of the farm and the territory. There is also an infinity pool, reserved exclusively for guests of the farmhouse, overlooking the olive grove. Guests are also provided with towels. The whole property is completely fenced off. Covered parking is available. The energy used during the day is produced from renewable sources. The attention to sustainability is also given by the compost bin that provides humus for thegarden of the company.
Activities and surrounding
Agriturismo Poggio del Gallo is in the countryside of Chiaramonte Gulfi, south-eastern Sicily, overlooking the park of the Monti Iblei and half an hour from the sea. Ideal for visiting Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, Caltagirone, Donnafugata, Punta Secca, Noto, Donnalucata and the places of Montalbano. The sea is about half an hour away by car. For those who love nature, about an hour and a half drive you can visit the wildlife oasis of Vendicari and the necropolis of Pantalica. Chiaramonte is famous for its historical centre, where the baroque and the liberty style coexist in full harmony. It is also famous for its museums such as the Oil Museum, the Sacred Art Museum, the Liberty Museum, the Music Museum and the Ornithology Museum. Upon reservation we organize, among other things, personalized cooking classes, visit to the ancient Saracen olive trees, oil tasting, visits to the winery and professional massages in the room.
