The agriturismo
The agriturismo was built inside a recently renovated typical eighteenth century “baglio”, a traditional Sicilian structure with a courtyard, and is surrounded by Sicilian countryside The ideal place for a peaceful stay, guest accommodation is provided in rooms and apartments, and the agriturismo also has a restaurant. The property is surrounded by olive trees, vines and a large 11 hectare wood with oak trees, elms, carob and pistachio trees. This wealth of nature makes for an extremely pleasant climate, and during the warmer months, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.
The accommodation
The 10 rooms (2 quadruple, 1 triple, 6 double and one single) contain traditional family furnishings, and include air conditioning, satellite TV, telephones and private bathrooms. One room is also accessible to disabled guests. The old store has been converted into a range of apartments. One measuring 60 m2, for 6-8 guests, including a kitchen area, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and two terraces. There are also two apartments for 4 guests with lounge-kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and two terraces, and finally there are two apartments which may also be joined, each one for 3 guests with kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and two terraces.
The restaurant (seating 50), offers a traditional menu prepared using the farm’s own ingredients and accompanied by its wine. Some of the delicacies on offer include green olive pâté, dressed olives and sundried tomatoes.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo offers ping pong, bocce and bicycles for excursions. Guests can also enjoy exploring the many pathways around the estate itself, or take part in farming activities, including harvesting produce and picking olives by hand.
A short journey takes you to the ancient ruins of Selinunte (10 km away), Segesta (40 km), Marsala, Mothia and its salt marshes (70 km), the Aegadian Islands, Erice (90 km), Trapani, (80 km), Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples (100 km).
