From the glacier to the vines, holidays in Schlanders in the Vinschgau valley; a valley full of contrasts, on the sunny side of the Alps.

At the biological farm Reiterhof Vill you are welcome throughout the whole year. Enjoy your holiday in a family conducted atmosphere in a cosy, welcoming and well equipped apartment. Have a try of the delicious biological products sold directly at the farm.

The accommodation

Our farm was mentioned for the first time in the 11th century as the “Hof am Sand” (sand farm), as it was situated near the little river Schlandraunbach. The holy Nepomuck in the chapel in front of our gate is the witness of that period.

White buildings with lots of wood, own stables, spacious barns, a colourful vegetable garden, chicken, cats and the happy horses’ neighing is part of our biological farm Reiterhof Vill in Schlanders, the main town of the Vinschgau valley.

We rent four holiday apartments for two to six people each with living-room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom/WC or shower/WC. Special local benches invite the guests to a little rest in the garden.

Upon request our guests’ pets are welcome at our farm. We offer breakfast and dinner as well as home made products as apples, apple juice, honey, “Speck” (typical cured ham), “Kaminwurzen” (typical smoked sausages). After a little snack you will be ready for a walk or a bike ride starting directly from our farm.

Enjoy the fresh air and the stunning nature. Let your children learn the handling of ponies and horses and enjoy playing far away from traffic and streets in the middle of this marvellous nature where they can surely discover new little things every day.

Free entrance for our guests at the AquaForum in Latsch – Relax, dive and enjoy the swimming-pool, sole pool, whirlpool, biological sauna, Finnish sauna or the steam sauna.

Activities and surrounding

Half way between the Reschenpass and Meran you find the towns Schlanders and Laas with its fractions Kortsch, Göflan, Vetzan, Nördersberg, Sonnenberg, Eyrs, Allitz, Tschengls, Tanas, Tarnell und Parnetz.

On the mountain sides a stunning nature fascinates their visitors because of their contrasts: dark woods and lush meadows at Nördersberg, partly situated within the national park Stilfserjoch; opposite there is the majestic Sonnenberg with its vine and chestnut yards near Schlanders and then Laas with its dry and poor sides which however contain many Mediterranean plant and animal species.

Schlanders is the main town of the Vinschgau valley and gives an urban touch with its nice pedestrian zone. Many cafes and restaurants are inviting and local shops furnish a good opportunity for a relaxing shopping tour. The emblem of the Schlanders town is the 97 m high church tower of the church Maria Himmelfahrt – the highest church tower in Tyrol. Lots of activities for all sport fans in the sport zone with swimming-pool, sport areas, tennis court, minigolf, beach volley court, gym and many more!

Laas is enchanting for its "white gold". In the mountains above Laas is extracted the world famous white marble.
