The agriturismo

The agriturismo is located in the Barbian mountains, in the province of Bolzano, in the southern part of the Eisack Valley: the farmhouse stands in a sunny spot surrounded by peaceful nature, among meadows and chestnut trees, with views of the Dolomites.

The farm produces fruit (Golden Delicious apples, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, grapes, kiwis, plums, apricots, pears, walnuts, chestnuts and cranberries, as well as vegetables and herbs from its garden) and milk, as well as breeding cows, dwarf goats, rabbits, chickens and ducks.

You’ll also find several farm cats and Balou the dog.

The accommodation

Available to guests are four carefully furnished lodgings built according to green building principles by incorporating natural flooring and furniture from wood from the property's own forest.

There are anti-allergy fabrics, eco-friendly pellet heating, kitchen with stove and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, safe, TV, toilet with shower, bidet and hair dryer.

Activities and surrounding

The location of the farm is perfect for planning trips of all degrees of difficulty in Val Gardena, on Corno di Renon, Castelrotto and Alpe di Siusi. The Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are ideal for climbing and trekking.

Barbiano boasts one of the most beautiful views in South Tyrol. You can participate in the tradition of törggelen with rustic dishes, chestnuts and new wine in October.

In winter you can have fun on the slopes(1,000 km in 30 ski areas) or go snowshoeing . In summer you can bike to the Ritten using (free of charge) even the mountain bikes on the farm (helmets are not available).

Also worth visiting are Bagni di Tre Chiese, the Barbiano Waterfalls, the Gander stream, the Church of San Ingenuino and San Albuino.
