Via Pichler, 17A, 39017 Scena (Bolzano)
Owned by the Pircher family for several generations, the farmhouse is located in Schenna, at 700 m above sea level, on a farm growing fruit and vines and rearing animals. In particular, the farm produces several varieties of apples and juices, pears and spirits, peaches, cherries, plums, kiwis, figs, jams and honey.
Breakfast, buffet style or served, on the scenic terrace or in the lounge, is the ideal opportunity to taste much of the farm's produce, as well as speck, fresh cheeses, yoghurt, salami, nuts and sweet treats prepared by the lady of the house. You can also make yourself an espresso, hot chocolate or a South Tyrol tea, and purchase bread, eggs and milk on site.
The accommodation includes bathrooms with showers, WCs and hairdryers, and the rooms enjoy south-facing balconies. The 2 comfort rooms have wooden flooring and south-facing balconies, and the standard room is a twin, also with a south-facing balcony. TheGirasole apartment, also with south-facing balcony, offers 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of which with bath, bidet and underfloor heating. The Passiflora apartment boasts a terrace and a bathroom with underfloor heating, and also features the original wood from the old hayloft.
In the kitchen, for exclusive use by guests, you can help yourself to drinks at any time of day. An original cupboard houses the farm library, stocked with books and games for children and adults alike.
As well as getting involved on the farm and enjoying the sunny hills which overlook Merano, the 7 hamlets of Schenna offer the ideal conditions for a holiday in the open air. A pathway passes above the farm, winding through orchards and woodland. There is a bus stop 150 m from the house, with links to ski lifts, the Trautmansdorf Castle Gardens, Verdins and the centre of Schenna with its shops and facilities.
