The agriturismo

Located in the green Valles Valley, the farmhouse stands in an enviable bucolic setting: all around are coniferous woods, pastures and spring waters; higher up is a small waterfall with picnic areas; the Rio Valles stream flows close by; lower down lies Malga Fane, reputedly the most beautiful Alpine village in South Tyrol, over which towers Picco della Croce, reaching an altitude of 3132 m.

The farmhouse is 20 minutes by car from Bressanone and 25 from Brunico.

The accommodation

Restructured in 2009 using its own wood according to the latest Klimahaus directives and green building criteria, the farmhouse has a wood chip heating system that creates a particularly warm and welcoming atmosphere while respecting the environment. All the apartments at the Obereggerhof farmhouse are suitable for people with allergies and for non-smokers. They are provided with a hair-dryer, kitchen with dishwasher and extraction hood, radio, WLAN.

The day at the farmhouse begins with an abundant breakfast of natural and home-made products. Composed with care, the breakfast basket contains country products from the Obereggerhof and Braundornerhof farms, alongside delicious products from local partners. In the evening the guests choose the products that they will find next morning in the basket in front of their door: newly baked bread, goat's or cow's milk, fresh eggs, butter, cheese and speck, goat cheese made by our neighbour, honey and jams, fresh apple juice and herbs for herbal teas.

Activities and surrounding

The sunny Gitschberg-Jochtal holiday area offers an articulated network of hiking trails (the climb to Picco della Croce, to the Bressanone hut or to Lake Selvaggio). Worthy of note are Malga Fane near the farmhouse, the Castle of Rodengo and the traditional farms of the Fundres Valley. The skiing facilities are open in winter: two ski areas and 50 km of ski slopes. With its easy and medium-difficulty slopes, the ski school and the children's area, the Jochtal ski area at Valles is particularly popular with families. More expert skiers opt for Maranza-Gitschberg with more demanding slopes and a breath-taking 360-degree panorama of the Dolomites and the Stubai Alps. The toboggan run passes right in front of the farmhouse. At Christmas time is is worth visiting the Christmas markets in Bressanone and Brunico. Visitors should not miss the green Val Pusteria and the Isarco Valley with the cycle track along the river Isarco, the MTB trails and the farms with horses.
