The agriturismo
The agriturismo is part of a 120 hectare organic farm, located 600 metres above sea level, in a peaceful, scenic spot in the Upper Tiber Valley.
The accommodation
From two restored buildings there are 4 apartments furnished with traditional simplicity, all with independent heating, fridge, freezer, bathroom with shower.
The Kitchen: entrance with small corridor, living area, double and twin bedroom, utility room.
The Barn: entrance, living area and fireplace with woodshed, loft (accessible by wooden staircase), double and twin bedroom, utility room.
Il Forno: living area, small corridor, double bedroom, terrace.
The restaurant consists of two small rooms furnished in a simple and cosy way and a large outside veranda. Wood-burning oven at the entrance. Typical Tuscan cuisine with the addition of revisited classic dishes. The menu includes many products of the farm (mushrooms, truffles, vegetables, fruit, legumes, jams, compotes, liqueurs) and others of local companies. All dishes are handmade.
The swimming pool (12 x 6 m), open from the end of May to the end of September, has a panoramic view over the valley and is equipped with sun loungers, large solarium and shaded veranda.
Activities and surrounding
The agriturismo is the ideal base for excursions in Tuscany, Umbria and to the Adriatic Coast.
The region has many places of cultural, artistic and religious interest to offer: Baldignano crypt, Sigliano church, Cerbaiolo hermitage (Pieve Santo Stefano); the sanctuary where Saint Francis received the stigmata (Chiusi della Verna); the medieval hamlets ofAnghiari and Citerna; Sansepolcro (the birthplace of Piero della Francesca); the Burri Museum (Città di Castello); Camaldoli hermitate; Arezzo, Gubbio, Lake Trasimeno, Florence and Perugia.
The Tiber Valley is perfect for excursions on foot, on horseback or by mountain bike along its signposted trails. There are also several nature reserves nearby.
