The agriturismo

The scenic location and the peaceful green Cortona mountains make this sunny, light and airy accommodation some of Cortona’s finest, just 18 km from the city itself.

At 650 m altitude, surrounded by meadows and woodland, the agriturismo enjoys beautiful views of the valley of the Minimella River and the Tuscan and Umbrian Apennines.

The agriturismo breeds Koi Carp. These beautiful fish, with their intense colours, are an extremely popular relaxing pastime.

The accommodation

As well as a beautiful swimming pool, the agriturismo also offers two guest apartments, La Rosa on the first floor and La Mimosa on the ground floor, both comprising 2 bedrooms for 4 people with the option to add two children’s beds, a fully equipped kitchen, a TV, a bathroom with shower, a washing machine, barbecue, iron and ironing board, independent paved entrance, children’s play area and swimming pool access. The La Rosa apartment also features a beautiful open fireplace.

 

Guests can tour the farm and sample the produce from the vegetable garden totally free of charge. There is also a restaurant around 1 km away, ideal for those who don't feel like cooking.

Activities and surrounding

The estate is ideal for excursions through woodland, cultivated fields and meadows, sampling the produce of the undergrowth (mushrooms, chestnuts, wild strawberries and blackberries) and the vegetable garden (melons, watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers ...).

The nearest city is Cortona: nestled in the hills, the city enjoys scenic views of the Valdichiana plain which spreads beneath it, of Lake Trasimeno, the surrounding hills and the mountains. Its striking Etruscan walls date back to the end of the 5th century B.C, spanning around 3 km. The city offers much to see and do, and the Etruscan Academy and City of Cortona Museum, the famous “Etruscan Chandelier” dating back to the 5th century B.C. and the “Tabula Cortonensis” dating back to the 3rd century B.C. are all worth a visit.

The agriturismo stands at the intersection of the roads that link Tuscany with Umbria, and just an hour by car takes you to Arezzo, Perugia, Florence and Siena.
