Immersed in the green hills of Val di Pierle, 500 m above sea level and only 16 km from Cortona, the farmhouse is located in a quiet place overlooking the valley. The farmhouse has been completely renovated in full respect of the rustic style and with an eye to green energy and attention to detail.

The large English garden, terraced and of about 5000 square metres, is particularly luxuriant and well-kept all year round with an infinite variety of plants and flowers. Peace and tranquillity frame the panoramic view that can be enjoyed from the property. In addition, there is apanoramic swimming pool, surrounded by nature.

Having only 3apartments, all in one building, many people decide to reserve Rocca di Pierle as an exclusive whole villa.

The area is very safe, a real "green lung", far from the city and from sources of pollution, in a valley very protected by the hills, but close to the most popular tourist destinations. In fact, the villa is located a few kilometres (about 15 km) from the tourist centre of Cortona , nestled in the quiet and charming historical village of Pierle.

The hilly area dominates the Val di Pierle, which takes its name from the majestic medieval castle immediately below the farmhouse.

The farmhouse, renovated in full respect of the Tuscan style, is divided into 3 apartments close to each other, each of which has an independent entrance, but at the same time it will be possible to use the common areas inside (such as the common room "Cambusa" ) and outside in the many spaces used for common use.

It is possible to comfortably accommodate from 6 to 10 people (up to a maximum of 14 by using the additional single beds), arranged as follows
:

- Apartment "La Loggia" (55 sqm, suitable for 2 people): it is located on the first floor, has a living room with sofa, a large bedroom with double bed, kitchen, bathroom and outdoor loggia at the entrance.

- Apartment "Il Monte" (70 sq.m., suitable for 4 people): is located on the first floor, has a living room with table and chairs and 4 single sofas, a large kitchen, bathroom and an outdoor terrace with wooden roof in front of the garden.

- Apartment "La Valle" (70 sqm, suitable for 4 people): on the ground floor, with two double bedrooms, bathroom, living room with sofa, large kitchen, bathroom.

In addition to the three apartments, the adjacent "Cambusa" has also been renovated , used for serving breakfast and available to guests as a common space for lunches and dinners. The use of the latest technology allows you to save energy while respecting the environment: each apartment is in fact equipped with air conditioning system with separate regulation for the living area and sleeping area, low energy consumption thanks to the installation of photovoltaic panels . Moreover, the hilly position of the farmhouse offers an ideal temperature both in winter and in summer.

The villa has a large garden of about 6000 square meters with a panoramic swimming pool surrounded by nature, and with many services offered on request (breakfast with room service, cooking classes, lunch or dinner services with typical menu) where guests enjoy an attentive service and a family atmospherein an environment with attention to every detail.

Safe welcoming Covid19

Rocca di Pierle will guarantee the complete sanitization of each apartment before and after your stay (even on a daily basis if daily cleaning is required). Only professional products with medical-surgical prescription and ministerial authorization are used.

The structure also strives to better manage the only space shared with other residents - the pool area - (with your kind cooperation) with daily sanitation, areas and equipment customized for each apartment.

We recommend, however, the social distancing of at least one meter, the use of masks in common areas (especially in the presence of other people and staff), in the reception, the use of sanitizing gel before using the shower in the pool and in the laundry.

In addition to enjoying excursions along the nature trails, scattered throughout the area, guests can participate in cooking classes and wine and oil tastings.

Rocca di Pierle is located in a strategic place where it is easier to reach the most important cities of southern Tuscany and northern Umbria. The farmhouse is located in the medieval village of Pierle; from here, it is possible to reach: Cortona (16 km); Lake Trasimeno (15 km); Montepulciano (39 km); Pienza (49 km); Gubbio (42 km); Perugia (49 km); Assisi (59 km); Siena (70 km). Florencecan be reached by train (one every hour) from the Terontola train station, which is about 20 minutes' drive from Rocca di Pierle.

Since the structure has only 3 apartments, it is possible to reserve the entire structure for exclusive use by groups. In these cases, for groups of at least 6-8 people, the farmhouse has the possibility to propose (on request) "typical Tuscan dinners" with products at Km0 in the new common room called "Cambusa" near the apartments.

The nearest village, called Mercatale, is only 3 km away and is very convenient for basic necessities as it has shops, gas station, pharmacies, bars, etc..
