Casa Bada Bio Farm

Casa Bada is situated in the hills just 5 minutes from the town of Rufina, famous for its most prestigious wine, Chianti Rufina, and only 30 minutes from Florence, which can also be reached by train with only a half-hour ride. The former farmhouse complex now offers delightful apartments for rent in the rolling Tuscan countryside.

The main house and restored outbuildings are in a commanding position, from which there is a view of the famous Frescobaldi vineyards, and privacy is guaranteed without being isolated or far from amenities.

Guests can take a dip in the refreshing water of the swimming pool, from where it is possible to admire the landscape while enjoying a glass of wine or dining poolside.

At Casa Bada you live in harmony with nature and benefit from the advantages that biology provides.Circular farming begins with the Amiatini donkey family; their manure is stored and left to mature. This is then moved to the lombricaia where earthworms turn it into humus, or also called black gold. The humus is used within our bioactive garden, in the olive grove.

The farmhouse consists of two apartments.

The apartment Casa del Fattore is on one level, has an independent entrance, has a private road that leads directly to an outdoor area with a terrace in front of the house: it is ideal for those who want maximum accessibility and convenience. From the outside there is access to the garden, with an incredible view of the vineyards and olive trees and the village of Rufina at the bottom of the valley. The covered dining area with table is perfect for dining al fresco on a warm summer night with a glass of Chianti Rufina.

It has three large bedrooms, two with double beds and one with two large single beds, which can comfortably sleep six people, with the possibility of adding an extra bed. There are two bathrooms, both with shower and one with bathtub.

The kitchen, fully equipped with everything you need to make delicious recipes, includes gas stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, American/Italian coffee maker, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board, wi-fi and air conditioning in the rooms, television with Sky, DVD and video.

Theapartment il Fienile is the most recent by renovation, enjoys a large window made in the kitchen, and it is magical to wake up in the morning with a great coffee to enjoy while turning your gaze to the vineyards of Frescobaldi's famous Nipozzano wine. The structure of the Fienile is completely independent on all sides; the ground floor features a spacious fully equipped modern kitchen with spectacular views of the countryside, a bright living room, complete with fireplace, that invites you to open a good book or uncork a bottle of local Chianti Rufina with your loved ones. Upstairs are two tastefully renovated bedrooms that combine rustic Tuscan charm with modern comforts.

Hospitality and experience are one at Casa Bada, as guests are always welcome to participate in the activities of the house, planned according to the cycle of the seasons, for example, the olive harvest and the grape harvest. The managers intensely love the Tuscan countryside and the experiences it gives, so they are happy to offer our guests a special selection of activities that are the best way to fully experience the colors, flavors and atmosphere of the area. From cooking typical local dishes under the guidance of the family chefs, to enjoying moments of absolute well-being thanks to activities such as massage and yoga. In general, the intent is for all guests to experience time of absolute quality and pleasure.

The activities to do in the Florentine hills or in nearby cities are varied and very interesting.

You can always choose to spend time relaxing in the outdoor settings, by the pool or walking in the vineyards, but also plan on request one of the many activities that our area offers.

THE VINEYARDS OF CHIANTI RUFINA: Casa Bada is nestled in the beautiful hills of theChianti Rufina,which constitutes a historic wine-producing area, among the most important in Tuscany, located northeast of the city of Florence. Many historic wineries, located just minutes from the farmhouse, often open their doors allowing visits to the ancient storage and aging rooms, tastings and tastings.

CULTURAL VISITS: Wonderful Florence is only 30 minutes away by car or train, plus there are plenty of historic villages to visit in the surrounding area. Two other cities not to be missed are Siena and Arezzo, each of them about 1 hour by car or reachable by train. It will certainly be the care of the managers to recommend itineraries best suited to the guests' taste.

PRODUCERS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP: Not far from Casa Bada there are many excellent producers, from food and wine products, the pride of the area, to 'local artistichandicrafts: you can go directly to visit a farm, buy its products to cook, or even take ceramic painting lessons from the local artist.
