The agriturismo
Immersed the relaxing natural setting of the Tuscan Maremma, operating since 1980, the agriturismo is a place where guests are treated as friends and encouraged to relax in a family atmosphere. The evening meals are prepared with farm produce, with dishes based on traditional Maremma country cooking.
The accommodation
Accommodation in comfortable rooms with breakfast consisting of home-made cakes and preserves made from seasonal fruits. The kitchen uses produce from the vegetable garden and orchard: around the table the atmosphere is warm and friendly while guests are served traditional recipes such as Maremma tortelli, tagliatelle with beef or wild boar sauce, vegetable or sauce pasta dishes, minestrone, wild boar 'alla cacciatora', roast chicken, guinea fowl, 'scottiglie' or Tuscan stews, vegetable omelettes, puddings, pastries, cantuccini biscuits and tarts.
Activities and surrounding
The sea is just 10 minutes by car, while nearby tourist spots also include Talamone, the Argentario peninsula, the Maremma Nature Park, Isola del Giglio, Costa d'Argento, the Etruscan archaeological sites of Roselle, Vetulonia, Sovana and Poggio Buco, the spa center of Saturnia, Sorano and Pitigliano, and the coastal town of Castiglione della Pescaia.
Possible excursion destinations include Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, Montalcino, Chianciano, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Viterbo, and Lago di Bolsena.
