Agriturismo Il Maestrale

Only 5 km from the medieval village of Castiglione della Pescaia, the farm is composed of four  housing estates immersed in the green, one of them built according to energy savings criteria. Guests can relax and visit places of archaeological and natural interest, and taste vegetables and olive oil of own production.

The complex is divided into four units with nice apartments inspired by the traditions of rural Tuscany. The first group is the family house, “Il Maestrale”, where, on the first floor, the owners live, while, on the ground floor, there are two apartments ,"La Mimosa" and "La Giara. These, attractively furnished, with direct access from the garden, outdoor area for outdoor dining, welcome guests in a bright dining room furnished with antiques or period pieces of furniture. The kitchenette, made of marble and chestnut, has stove, oven, two-door refrigerator and TV. In the apartments, there are, respectively, one or two bedrooms and a nicely decorated bathroom with shower. On the  ground floor, at est, there is the double bedroom L'oleandro. It is attractively furnished, with bathroom with shower.It has direct access from the garden and outdoor area for outdoor dining.

The second residential complex (Il Nuovo Casale), in typical Tuscan style, was built according to saving energy laws (thermo-acoustic insulation, reducing flow and flow sensors for automatic shutdown of the heat pump and heated pieces, automated electrical power down, exterior lighting with dusk sensor and off-time.
The building is composed by 4 apartments, three of them on the ground floor (Le Rose, Gli olivi and Le Spighe and one on the first floor (I fiori). The first three have a lovely and independent porch with iron furniture for outside dinners. I Fiori, instead, has a porch, covered and panoramic, with views both  of the hills and the sea. The care of the furniture tries to recreate an ancient rural atmosphere.

The furniture in a typical Tuscan style, change depending on the housing in combination with curtains of different tones.  Each accommodation comprises dining room (with kitchenette decorated with handmade ceramic tiles and antique grit washbasin), bedroom (iron bed, bedside tables, desk and wardrobe) and bathroom with shower and window. All of them are equipped with satellite TV, inverter for hot / cold, two-door refrigerator and stove.
 
The third residential complex is the indipendent house Il Boschetto with a triple bedroom,bathroom, kitcken and  a panoramic porch and in the same style as the Nuovo Casale. it is located near the olive grove and next to the children's playground.

To complete the farm, we have "I Lamponi" and "L'Arancia", which are two apartments located in the building between the swimming pool and covered parking with photovoltaic panels. They, builded in the same style of the Nuovo Casale, have one or two double bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with shower and porch. Around these, to ensure more privacy, we have created an area enclosed by fencing and hedges.

The complex has also  1 outbuilding for service equipment (beds, chairs, bicycles, ping-pong), the washing machine rooms (you can hang out the laundry in designated areas) and  swimming pool

In the farm, guests can take advantage of lawn to relax, masonry swimming pool with stone cladding (where you can enjoy comfortable sun beds), a stone fireplace for barbecue, ping-pong, playground for children, bikes (also equipped with seats for children). There are also many sport activities available in the vicinity: tennis, mini-golf, golf, horse riding, roller skating, jogging, hiking, biking and mountain biking, surfing, sailing, canoeing, diving into the sea, fishing, hunting, bird watching , kit surf. Those who would rather take a refreshing break can reach the thermal areas of Saturnia, Elba or Petriolo.

Only two km far from the farm, also by bike, you can reach the wonderful Rocchette Bay with its crystalline waters, while 5 km far, entering the beautiful village of Castiglione della Pescaia, you can admire from the above the wetland Diaccia Botrona with Casa Ximenes, the 12 km coastline fringed by a pine forest, the Uccellina and Argentario Promontories and the islands of the Tuscan archipelago (Giglio, Formiche, Montecristo and Elba). Nearby are also worth visiting the beautiful Punta Ala, Cala Violina and Cala Martina. For nature lovers, at a short distance, you can get valuable natural areas such as: wetland Diaccia Botrona, the Regional Park of Maremma, the Center Carapax of Massa Marittima, the oasis of Burano. It is also worth visiting the Museum of Vetulonia, the archaeological areas of Roselle and Populonia and historical centres of Pitigliano, Sovana, Sorano, Siena and Massa Marittima.
