The agriturismo is an 18th century building (probably a former oratory) that has been skilfully renovated and furnished with old Arte Povera style furniture.
It is just 2 km away from the spas in Saturnia, with which the agriturismo has a special rate.
The agriturismo consists of 10 rooms located in the main farmhouse, of which two are newly built and overlook the pool.
Breakfast is served buffet style and includes homemade tarts, cakes, jams and biscuits, as well as cold meats, yoghurts and cereals.
Dinner is prepared according to traditional recipes from the Maremma area. The specialties are homemade pasta and soups, game (wild boar) and cheeses paired with jams.
Saturnia is situated on top of a rock in an area inhabited since at least the 12th century BC (the city walls and the necropolis of Puntone date back to this period) and it was also a Roman town of which some parts of the walls and the gate remain.
The promontory of Mount Argentario, starting from the shores of the Tyrrhenian Sea, creates the Costa d’Argento and is home to two traditional towns: Porto Ercole, where the Church of Sant’Ermete and the Corsini Garden and Palace stand, and Porto Santo Stefano, with the “Lungomare dei Naviganti” waterfront and the Mediterranean Aquarium.
The beaches of the Argentario area in the form of large stretches of sand and small rocky coves where the water is crystal clear.
Pitigliano, the “City of Tuff”, an ancient Etruscan and later Roman settlement in a panoramic position on the edge of a precipice. Even today, the village is surrounded by walls with medieval gates.
