The agriturismo

Boschi di Montecalvi is more than an agriturismo: it’s an organic oasis spanning 50 hectares of woodland, Mediterranean shrubland and olive groves, with an infinity pool overlooking the valley and skilfully renovated traditional farmhouses.

Guest accommodation is provided in apartments of various sizes and rooms which preserve all of their original typical Tuscan charm. I

The property stands in a region inhabited since the time of the Etruscans, and this link between nature and history creates a magical balance. The farmhouse, the views stretching right to the sea and the beautiful vegetation inspire a harmony which made us fall in love at first sight, and which enchants our guests from the moment they arrive.

The Boschi di Montecalvi organic oasis is the result of an extensive renovation process, completed with the utmost respect for the original landscape and the surrounding structure.

The villa, the restaurant and the apartments were all restored using the original stone used to build them hundreds of years ago, with some clear nods to classic Tuscan architecture such as the vaulted ceilings and the exposed beams. Tradition restored and modernised, to ensure all the home comforts you need for an unforgettable, relaxing break.

The old and the new come together: from the stunning scenic infinity pool to the old outdoor wood burning oven.

The native Mediterranean nature has been enhanced through the organic cultivation of fruit and vegetables, which are used in the restaurant. The farm boasts a total of seven hundred olive trees, used to produce Boschi di Montecalvi oil, concentrated passion for this land.

Symbolic of Boschi di Montecalvi and this region is the enormous oak tree which has overlooked the entire valley for centuries. It tells a story of beauty, tranquillity and coexistence.

Activities and surrounding

The agriturismo is 4 km and less than 10 minutes by car from Suvereto, a little medieval hamlet with shops and typical Tuscan restaurants. You’ll also find a large shopping centre around a 12 minute drive away.
The agriturismo is around 15 minutes from the nearest beaches, such as the Baratti Gulf, and around an hour from Elba Island. The agriturismo’s location at the heart of Tuscany makes it the ideal base for day trips to all of the region's most popular cities - Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Lucca and even Rome.

To explore Tuscany and the Etruscan Coast, you will need transport - the owners can help you to hire a car or arrange travel using a shuttle service. A taxi service is also available from Campiglia Marittima train station.
