The agriturismo

The agriturismo was born from the renovation of a farm from 1880, belonging to the Conti Della Gherardesca. It combines the colours and flavours of the countryside with those of the sea, which is also accessible via a cycle path.

The accommodation

The agriturismo has 5 rooms:

Ronzinante (ground floor): lounge with generous kitchen and double sofa bed, room with double bed and cot, antechamber.

Pegaso (ground floor): lounge with kitchenette, room with double and single beds, table in the outdoor garden.

Bucefalo (first floor of the farmhouse): lounge with generous kitchen and double sofa bed, room with double bed and cot (option to include a further bed), antechamber.

Babieca (first floor of the farmhouse): lounge with generous kitchen and double sofa bed, room with double bed and cot (option to include a further bed), antechamber.

Incitatus (first floor of the farmhouse): kitchenette, double and single bed.

 

The agriturismo has a one hectare garden with palms, pines, holm oaks and plenty of tables.

There is an 8 x 15 m sand-coloured swimming pool which is illuminated at night. To the side there is a covered, illuminated structure with tables and chairs beside a large barbecue.

Activities and surrounding

Guests can observe the farm in action all year round: the grape harvest and wine preparation, the olive picking, the production of peaches, watermelons, plums, grapes, melons, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.. There are hens, two dogs, three cats and the horses (ride lessons are available for your little ones).

Guests can enjoy horse riding or cycling and mountain bike excursions (available to hire from the agriturismo), ping pong, thalassotherapy nearby, or trekking in the Mediterranean pine forests at 600 m.

Within easy reach are the beach at Bolgheri, a well-known wine region, Volterra and Populonia, Venturina (spa centre), the Island of Elba, Pisa and Florence. The Cavallino Matto amusement park is less than 1 km away.
