Villa Il Palazzino is a quiet and charming place surrounded by a luxuriant garden with delightful nooks for the use of guests. It offers a breathtaking view on the gentle hills of Tuscany and the sea.
The villa has been 2011 restored with attention to detail and delights with its beauty and elegance. You will be surprised at the beautiful location of Il Palazzino: a unique jewel amidst the enchanting countryside of Tuscany.
Restorations exploited the historical character of the structure and reawakened the origins of the whole area, dating back to the Etruscans: it is possible to visit a small archaeological site in the woodlands and in the field terraces close to the house.
A pleasant walk through the woodlands takes you to the picturesque village of Bibbona and its typical eateries in just a few minutes away.
The farm has six hectares of land and specialises in the production of fine quality extra-virgin olive oil.
Accommodation is in rooms with bathroom and suites with kitchenette, including breakfast.

The Palazzino specialises in the organisation of cultural events with a historical theme: our "Etruscan dinners" have become renowned along with the picturesque guided tours of the woodlands with spiced wine tasting.
Marina di Bibbona is 7 km from the agriturismo; this peaceful seaside centre is marked by lots of pine forests. Here you can find beaches with free access or bathing establishments with beach umbrellas.
One of the prides and glories of this stretch of coastline is comprised of the natural beach of the WWF Oasis, which extends from Marina di Bibbona to Marina di Donoratico.
If you love nature and hiking or bike-riding, Macchia della Magona is just a short distance from the agriturismo “Il Palazzino”; this natural reserve has plenty of clearly marked trails where you can spend hours surrounded by green vegetation.
You can also take some very interesting trips in the three parks of Val di Cornia: Archaeological and Mining Park of San Silvestro, Coastal Park in San Vincenzo and, in particular, the splendid Archaeological Park of Baratti and Populonia. At the latter, you can spend a day at the sea in an uncontaminated gulf and visit both the adjoining Etruscan necropolis and the charming town of Populonia, perched on a cliff top over the sea.
A few kilometres from Bibbona is Bolgheri, a small township that has become famous for both the picturesque avenue of cypresses in the famous poem by Carducci and for the renowned wines made here. Next to Bolgheri is Marina di Donoratico, with a lovely, wide beach and a large children’s fun park (“Il cavallino matto”).
Another recommended trip is to the thermal spa centre, in the town of Venturina (35 km), already famous and popular in the Etruscan and Roman eras. You can take the ferry from Piombino for a day trip to the island of Elba. Anyone who loves the sea and islands can also take a ferry to the island of Capraia, or take advantage of the splendid daily mini-cruises organised in summer around the islands and along the suggestive points of our coastline.
Some of the cities of art close enough for a day trip are Volterra, S. Gimignano, Siena, Pisa and Lucca. Volterra, in particular, is a must for tourists in Bibbona: in fact, during the Etruscan era it was the old city-state of Velathri and the township of Bibbona was one of the territorial outposts that came under its jurisdiction. In Volterra, apart from visiting the rich archaeological museum, the Roman theatre and the many delightful shops selling alabaster products, it is particularly lovely to get lost in your wanders around the medieval historical centre. You can get there along about 30 km of road winding through the hills.
For cultural tourists, apart from the archaeological zone that you can visit in our agriturismo, the Roman villa of S. Vincenzino in the nearby town of Cecina (7 km) is also well worth a visit.
Inform the agriturismo of any animals at the time of booking.
Owners will be held responsible for damage to property and persons.
